Akira is a good assert out there though huh?
he plays out wide for the blues too.
Auckland has him at centre sometimes too which would be interesting to see at AB level. He'd create a lot of space for the wingers.

@crucial probably momentum as he was off balance. He was rotating backwards hence the awkward landing on his other leg. More reflexive than malicious. Thank God it was not for the whole game for the team. Unlucky for JB as he was playing well and offers something different than garden Gnome McKenzie.

Any footage of when Taylor and Savea copped their head knocks?

i just went back and looked on Stan, if saveas is what i think it is it seems to just be forgetting to move your face out of a tackle, he's only down for a phase or two and then get back up and plays for about a minute and a half until the next break in play including making a couple of tackles and making several rucks, couldnt even see what taylor did, just see him walk off behind the line to get treatment

Interesting stat that the Wallabies had more carries and metres made?
@nostrildamus made my point.
Often the better team will have less time in possession because they'll score earlier in possession, and the lesser team will throw waves of attack against a better D.
And intercepts help.
I can just imagine TJP to Havili "Look, let's intercept all day long because I'm not match fit and we all know I can't pass for shit. Plus Weber is replacing Nugget for the first half."Yup, Foster could do worse than getting me to do all the talking at the postmatch pressies.

You know for sure, if the game starts stopping for these, certain teams will be faking like fuck, unless you make it compulsory off for HIA if game stopped for you

@booboo Scott Barrett…
There's always one ...
Me and Fozzie on a unity ticket, Scooter finished the test on the blindside
😉
And Oz scored almost immediately... the openside completely disappeared from any TV screens too!

Coles (when fit) will be the hooker joining the squad.
After 2 weeks quarantine
I certainly wasn't implying he would be available immediately, just that they can't just bring over a new player to join the squad unless a MIQ spot in NZ is found for when they return. Foster might need to find a Kiwi hooker in Aust in an emergency.
I think in an emergency Coles stays in NZ, and hooker #5 joins ABs. Unless the theoretical kiwi hooker in Oz is in QLD or WA, they still have 2 weeks quarantine. That's the real challenge of this tour, juggling injury replacements.
Am available
Thinking out loud about this concept (not necessarily my own availability, which would of course depend on agreeing suitable financial terms), if perchance our playing stocks are severely affected by injury and we can't get NZ based players to join do we open up to NZ eligible players based in Aus, and even in Europe when we get there, given the 'unprecedented' circumstances. One off situation only.
I.e., Thrush, Kahui, Abel here in Aus (I mean in desperate circumstances).
That assumes they are actually in Aus of course, and in a State where they could travel to QLD without 2 week quarantine. But the return home wouldn't require NZ MIQ spaces.
As I think about it it's probably more for the real specialist positions, where safety is a concern, i.e., front row. Anywhere else we'd just have to cover within the squad.
Anyway, just spitballing.

this seems to be the taylor incident, took me a while to find as it just looks like a tackle but he rolls out of and lays down
