I kind of wish they'd brought someone else into centre
Genuine question - who? Goodhue and ALB injured we're getting a bit thin at 13.
Tupea?
He's pretty shit there. We'd be better with PUJ in the team but I guess Ennor would be the obvious answer.

Beauden wants to be a 1st 5 so probably isn't an option at fullback now. I'd quite like to see JB given a chance, only for a comparison.
I'm not expecting many changes in the starting XV but a few on the bench.
RI wants to be a 13 and is playing 11...
Beaudy had won world player of the year at first five, so is better there. Rieko set the world on fire as a winger. So not quite the same comparison, beaudy was forced to permanent full back, Ioane forced his way to centre. But beaudy had not had the time that Brodie got, I guess as ten is so hyper important. It's his own fault for going too Japan after RWC rather than staying and fighting tho
BB started as a fullback for the All Blacks, and had some of his best games there.
As for the Japan part, it's interesting noting the different attitudes to BBBR and BB doing exactly the same thing.
Yeah, I think they’ve basically told Barrett that he has to sit on the bench because he is not the incumbent, but he was only at 15 due to their request.
I hope that Mo’unga is as good as they think he is, because sitting a World Player of the Year out is a coaching call we have not really talked about much, yet.
The issue is kicking. I guarantee we wouldn’t be having this conversation if BB kicked like Carter but he’s flaky as fück. All that BS about his style of play is nonsense. He certainly has a much cooler head than RM. But when that penalty wasn’t awarded against the Lions I wasn’t sure he would have even gotten it over. That’s a problem. My solution would have Jordie take the kicks but I’m not sure if his kicking % is as good as RM?
It's hard with jordie percentage, as he takes heaps of long ones even when he is not the main kicker. For the canes when he was taking them all, it was 90s
Then it’s a no brainer. Shit DMac is an awesome Kicker so he can kick if they insist on selecting him. Take the kicking issue away and BB is simply the better option at 10.

like it or not, Ioane is the best centre available.
Problem based on last week is, he's not going to straighten the attack, his main weapo is the outside shoulder. So someone else is going to have to do it. Based on recent history, that person doesn't exist. So, as unfair as it is, Havili needs to step up and shoulder the responsibility, despite still having his training wheels on.
Those wiiiiide loose forwards may as well stand next to the touchie if everyone doesn't sort their fucking act out.

DH definitely needs to straighten at times, because you can't have RM going sideways AND then DH doing the same (and then Dmac drifting as well)

It was never going to be Ennor, because he's supposed to make his comeback in black after playing NPC first.
Then why fucking select him? This is not me having a go at you, but the selectors.

If ALB is injured they have to select Ioane. I wouldn’t mind seeing ALB/Ioane again either. But why Ennor isn’t now on the bench I don’t get. There is no need to not have specialist cover.
Didn’t Ennor just have his appendix out? Regardless, I’d take Ioane over him any day and I do not rate as Ioane as a 13.

Ioane is a quality centre, good defender, and had the by far the best try assist stats of any NZ centre in Super Rugby. The only choice.
Absolutely. Arguably our best midfield is ALB and Ioane anyway.
Its what I would do if they insist on Dmac at 15, at least.

you know, if we could get RM and DH playing straight as fuck (like Cruden and SBW for instance) then that back 4 would make fucking bank off that. Speed to burn.

If DH is shakey again on defence, and doesn't straighten like Fozzie asked for, then ALB or Tupou at 12 will probably be looked at.

That really shows how poor our options are - both of those were second choice - but if available now, and in that form, they’d walk into my team.
