Don’t forget that Rennie is a master at making good sides look bad. It’s his real strong point. Picks out all the ways to stop rhythm and patterns.
Remember how he’d send Chiefs side to the Crusaders and make them look like a shambles.
This is not an excuse for Foster just a bit of extra observation to take into account as to why we are looking so disjointed.
As long as we find a way to get past them and win I’m happy. But Foster's team has looked disjoined against everyone bar Tonga C.
Seems a common theme,The Chiefs under Foster looked the same .

It’s like some of you have only started watching rugby today. There have been some dire 1st half performances by the ABs in the last 20 years with far more talented (and accomplished) players.
I personally think we are trying too hard and did not play to the conditions. Go into the sheds talk about it and come back better.
Aussies got a fortuitous lineout win that put us under pressure. A couple of poor reads and they scored. Good try.
Discipline from both sides has been costly, but it should’ve been know that this ref loves the sound of his own whistle.
Yep we have had some poor first halves. The loss to England in World Cup comes to mind. 2nd half was crap too.

Really good 40 from Whitelock.
Really? Gave away at least one penalty.
Yep big 40 from him.

So far, Wallabies, lineouts and goal kicking apart, have looked sharp.
Score isn’t fair reflection.Nah it's pretty fair - territory and possession being what they are. It isn't necessarily the discipline from each team as much as where it happens. If we had been a bit smarter about Ikitau's last kick we could have been in better shape

Score isn’t fair reflection. Some bad kicking and general skills and Drew Mitchell pointed out Paisami missed a 4 on 3 opportunity there...Their forwards look fragile to me. But I'd say we should be happy with the points on the board.

@nta yeah fuck - credit where its due. targeted an obvious defensive weakness superbly.
I think the fortuitous part comes from the fact the try was scored from a lineout throw that wasn’t straight.

Still cringe when the stadium only pipes up for the English verse. So odd... shouldn't most of the fans at least be around our age and know the full anthem?
Felt the Maori verse was sung loud and proud as it's ever been.

Funny how the ref was fine with it 😬

I'll take your word for it, locks looked scrappy and inaccurate to me, but maybe that is mostly/all Retallick.

I’m no expert but the ABs in that first half looked like a team who were trying too hard, most likely due to over-coaching, and not playing what is in front of them. Need to keep it simple, run straight, don’t push passes, back their set piece and make the tackles that need to be made. Not rocket science really.

For the second half I will be giving out the Chicken Little award. Canefan, Rancid, sparky have honourable mentions so far.
Hey. I took it back. Anyone who watched that dross is allowed a moment of depression.

A lot of miracle passes wasn’t great, might need to have kicked more
