I almost lost my shit when Jordie went to the wing again. Just so fucking dumb. He either starts at 15 or he's not in the 23, I just don't understand what they are doing with him; his performances on the wing are worse than Bridge and sooooo far below what you'd expect of an AB winger.
Yeah, it's just plain stupid. He isn't a Test winger and if he IS in the 23 then have him at 15 - where he is OK - in your game plan or off the bench at 15. Totally illogical and could screw his confidence.

That scrum was the turning point for me. It was on Angus Ta’avaos side. Not good enough really.
Did Whitelock swap to the TH side when BBBR went off? I wasn't looking closely but he usually scrums on that side in combo with Barrett. Questions about Tuipulotu's scrummaging persists.

ESPN has him with no tackles made, 1 tackle missed, and 1 turnover. Given that they choose to hide him, its a recipe for a good coach to exploit.
On the other hand, once he starts running, he’s lethal. But when he doesn’t, he’s not as good as either Dmac or Barret would be as they could defend at 10.
Those stats don’t seem right because he made that tackle 3 metres out from our line when Oz were hot on attack.

Yep you are right,so EPNS are once again all over the place with their stats as always.

@act-crusader Don't even go there. You are arguing against the religiously blind.

@sparky why because we dont play retarded 10 man boxkickathon shit like South Africa and the old enemy?
I think both teams have some great talent coming through and we will go well at the next RWC. Both teams packs to me seem like they can genuinely muscle up but also marry that with a bit of backline play.
Fuck it. Straya will never win at Eden Park but we put some good play together and if not for a loose 20 minutes and uncharacteristic goalkicking would've been right in it.
You will win one day and if the starters had the rip shit attitude of the bench and not the hesitancy they displaced (plus, as you say, decent kicking), they would have been right into it..

They get updated so likely he will end up with 1 made, 1 missed (the same as Dmac) but they do at least show patterns - such as the effort by Havili (12 made, 3 missed) from (I assume) him often defending the 10 channel while we hid Mo’unga. Sadly, I can’t re-watch, but if some one can I’d like to hear about how we organized ourselves on defense.

Good scrum battle
Helps Nepo having BBBR locked on to his left bum bone.
Definitely what I'd take, given the option

Phrasing is still a thing.

DMac seems to be competing with BB, and as much as I like DMac's spirit, I'd prefer BB at 10 and at 15. But I'd not use BB for penalties or conversions.
I wish we had blooded Jordan at 15 against weaker teams to see his +s and -s. And Robinson, but loosies don't seem to be much of a problem.
Also at 8, Sotutu has had an up and down year but he has serious potential-can't the national coaching side help? I don't know why they put Ardie at 8, sure he has experience but he is a 7 or a bench loosie. I'd be happy with Dalton at 7 or 6 and Akira is surely in the top 2 or 3 6s in the country (and can play 8 as well, but a bit loose apparently at the back of the scrum?) Perhaps Ardie was supposed to capitalize on his speed off the back of the scrum but it is pretty hard to do that when they put you on the wing, he seems to have more impact IMO near the end of the game breaking out of tight forward tackles than taking on outside backs with plenty of time to position themselves.
Poor Codie. Not having a great season, fitness/injury/tiredness, not sure what. I think we'd have seen more decisive go forward if old man Coles had started instead. OTOH I thought the starting props played better than I was expecting.
Our locks (esp Retallick) still look up and down even though SW was getting into his stride disrupting attacks, and I was interested to see the discussion on here about RM, BB is perhaps not quite in form and now the second 10 but if he goes overseas in the next year and RM gets injured..
The midfield still looks promising rather than well-coordinated (but Ioane does look sharper on the wing) and I thought Reece played well, so as was said, where can we improve? The props perhaps and maybe a fulltime 8 would be nice. And a better coordinated bench. That would be the kiss of death in a RWC QF and I just don't know what the coaches can take away from those mass bench substitutions... -
Not sure if posted, but pretty cool.

That should settle some nerves on here. One of the great trys.
Saw two forward passes in real time but it did deserve 5 points...
But what I noticed about this was just before it happened the cameraman/producer widened out and panned to the backline sensing something was on. There was a real change of energy as that was happening.

@broughie I'd also like refs to make them take kicks (line kicking more so) on the mark, so often they go a good metre or more.beyond
Was thinking about starting a 'Things that shit me' type thread with this exact point.

I think we know who plays at 6.
Yep, conversation over really. His contribution deep in the game should end shitty comments about work rate.
But does he still make faces and rub heads?
