Wallabies v France 3

@kirwan the laws need to be re-worded then because that’s disgraceful. I’m all for making the game as safe as possible but at the end of the day these guys are playing a contact sport and knocks like that happen. Aslong as there is no malice in the act of making a tackle like that, it should never be a red.

@act-crusader his head was coming down. Anyway who cares about the slow motion replay, I think that’s where the refs get it so wrong, there is no factoring in that players literally have a split second to make a decision. Because there was no malice it should no way be a red card. Penalty at the very most IMO.
There is no leeway for being reckless.
The main problem is the lack of the 20 minute red card.
It wasn't reckless. He came in to make a big ribs shot and jelonch bent and he happend to hit him high. What are players supposed to do?
Or do you want to take the big hits out of the game?...

@canes4life always knew you were the voice of reason 😜

I want players to avoid what’s happened to Steve Devine after they finish playing.

@kirwan looked like a cracking hit from where I’m sitting. Might aswell be playing touch rugby mate.
Shoulders to the jaw have never been legal.

SBW should be seen but not heard. Hopeless.
Campo looking ancient. Guess he’s getting on.The chicks are impressive. Nice contrast due to the fact they have some personality and talent in front of the camera. Horwell ffs.

You can argue all day about Marika making contact to the head and not being low enough in the tackle but fuck me, this is pro International Rugby for Christ’s sake. The player was falling into the tackle and there was absolute no malice in the tackle what so ever, surely that should be a factor in the ref’s decision making.
These referees are so by the book it’s pretty much robotic decision making. Disgraceful referring in my eyes and they should be held accountable for destroying a spectacle.
Leader for the worst post of the night.
The refs are "too by the book"? Maybe you should message them bro and tell them to interpret the laws the way you see them???
We see heaps of tackles where a defender in the line has to make a split second decision - an attacker ducks, side steps, whatever. But this was a defender taking a big run up, lining a bloke up for a big hit. He had every opportunity to low, and he hardly bent his legs.
And SBW can just fuck right off with his justification of "but the guy "can get up and play so it's all good'

That appalling baby faced Nine commentator who apparently heads up the crew starts after the half time advertisements with:
"So much to get through this half time"
and then goes on and on and on for another two minutes talking about nothing in particular before referring a question to a talking head who actually played the game! Aaarrgggh!

@kirwan use your eyes mate, he only hit him in the jaw because the Frenchy was ducking. Needs to be some common sense here.
I will if you use your brain.
He had plenty of time to go low, didn’t, and hit a player in the head. Stupid.

Agreed. This is a serious issue for World Rugby and they're very aware of the legal ramifications they could encounter later on.
Which is why I'm puzzled the French 8 wasn't automatically sent for an HIA.
