@pepe Okara for the 2011 RWC and then the 2017 lions tour was awesome fun. Not nearly as full, but still a great time out
The 3rd game of the last Lions tour was crazy. Great atmosphere. Shame that it was tainted by that French done deal...

Surely you heard it? Or were you not watching?

Not the best crowd, but also one of the highlights of attendance of a game for me, was when I was alot younger getting to see BoP play an international team .. and also beat them. Anyone curious at how long Nisbo has been on air? I tracked down some highlight video of this game and could not believe he was commentating.
The Australian backline handling that led to the Kaui try is priceless

Yeah I heard it. He is speaking in his second language. One French word for agreement or understanding is accord. That also translates as arrangement. Very easy for him to get the English translations muddled.

So that was O.K to just ignore the laws and have any sort of "arrangement"? French translation or otherwise?
My French isn't too bad actually. So I know what you are getting at but it wasn't translation that was the problem.

I was replying to your comment of it being a French done deal, rather than the decision itself, which I agree was clearly wrong.

It's the confluence of events that sucks - it's not a conspiracy (that's crazy talk), but he clearly bottled it after awarding the penalty and then reducing it to a scrum.
Then (and this is where I continue to get cross), TJP just flapped his arms and let the Red 9 steal the ball FROM THE BACK OF OUR SCRUM. FFS. Blew our second chance to win that game (third if yo ucould Jules dropping the ball with the line open)

Yeah, I’d be spewing if it happened the other way. In truth though we are all on the wrong end of crap decisions at some time, what magnifies this one so much is that it was so late in the game. If it was in the first minute, different story.

All off the above but the decision was also heavily influenced by an ARSE on the other side of the field. Sorry a bit of a typo, I meant AR.
No. ARSE works ok

All Blacks vs Wallabies Christchurch 1990. Sheer wonderment at just 14 and in the Smiths City stand with my Dad and uncle.
Canterbury vs Otago RS game 1994. Latta. Mehrts.
Otago vs Lions 1993 Those star Otago backs and loosies, and their journeymen veteran and misfit tight forwards playing above themselves
Otago vs Boks 1994 Read above
Canterbury NPC final 1997 The Cookie 🍪 Time Game
England vs Samoa RWC 2003, Melbourne. Samoa looked likely for a while and you wouldn't have thought there was a Pom in the house.
All Blacks vs Wallabies, Sydney 2001, 2009 & 2012 Any win in Sydney is gold so the latter two games made up for the heartbreak of the former.
I recall it was absolutely pissing down for Otago v Boks in 1994, but went along (seeing it was a week day and we got to get out of school early). Still one of my favourite footy memories.
