@kiwimurph fine. And playing teams that will beat them by 30-50 points a match will fix that?

Landers are only 15 up and trying to give up points as fast as they can.

Make that 10 points kick to come

I quite like the force. Scrappy is the word for it. Its not pretty but they work.

They're the plucky underdog who will never threaten the status quo.

    Easy to like.

Sounds like the Chiefs in the 2000s, so there might be hope. Maybe its because they have some older heads out there, but they keep themselves around it (if not in it).

@kiwimurph so what is it that the Rebels have been missing?

They play a dead boring style for the most part, have little to no star power and the one star they do have hardly ever touches the ball and hasn't scored a try this season.

This seemed to really coincide with Wessels arrival combined with exodus of star players.

It's not name calling to accurately describe your whining. If you don't like it, don't watch it and don't come here crying about it ffs.

@kiwimurph or just create a domestic comp? Dont have to deal with any of this nonsense and unlike you blokes actually have the population for it.

You have the theoretical population for it, but, they're all watching bogan rugby and aerial ping pong.

You carry on like Oz teams have never been competitive and never will be competitive - did you just start watching rugby last year?

Almost like Australia would be better off with 3-4 teams...

...back to the a actual game

Read the nz time so was all ready for a later kick off, good old Stan meant I could watch delayed when I realised

Far from perfect but we looked like we were playing with confidence which is fun, so wish we still had fakatava

Gregory continues to be real solid in midfield and even sio looks better on the wing, wish some had read my posts earlier!

Anyone hear what happens to Gilbert? Hope he’s not injured again

    Himeno is a player

Think we could have kicked on and thrashed them but they fought back a bit and only some goal line defence saved us, two or three turn overs on our goal line in quick succession

    Over all happy

60 minutes in, haven't read the thread. What a shithouse card on Holmes. His arm was at waist height!

And what the fuck is the point of Harrison?

    I heart Smith.

Oh geez, terrible call on the Hammington forward pass. Not your best work Berry.

FFS just seen the taken back that came off blue. After the previously mentioned AR completely ignored the blatant one by the force in the 1st half.

5 is too many Aussie teams. They don't have depth to sustain five competitive teams.

@machpants I saw the Canes tackling stats tonight and they made 98% of their 127 tackles. Pretty insane, the attack was more the issue tonight.

Sadly, as I mentioned in the games thread, a lot of those tackles lacked dominance and the rebels got go forward in them

We saw that last week as well.
Teams need to get their start/bench balance right against them and hold a bit of experience/firepower back.
I think the Landers selection did this well whether by design or luck.
