Woo-hoo!!! Fuck yeah lads, you legends. Flaked just before 2am and was hoping I'd wake to this result!
Some Black Caps fan you are.
I checked my phone at 3.40am, went back to sleep.

I deliberately drunk lots of Coke Zero knowing I’d have to get up and piss multiple times in the night.
Strategic solutions.

The real stuff is very bad for you. Actually Coke Zero isn’t the best either but I did it for the team

This still makes me a bit sad though
What a way to go out though. Part of me wonders if Rossco is next ?

I assumed that Roscoe wants to slip out quietly and wanted the focus to be on BJ

I want him to retire in front of a home crowd with his family present.

Athers was grilling Doull on this. Doull reckons that Rosco still has the hunger. In addition, he reckons as a family man, Taylor would want go out at home with his family there.

CdG
He bowled just fine in the first innings, held up an end and kept the run rate pressure on for most of his spell. Not the reason we're there, but he did bowl 12 reasonably important overs. More useful than a spinner I reckon, and had upside potential for fast runs or wickets.
I'd still have picked Young I reckon, but that leaves overs to be bowled and the risk of cooking your bowling unit

I’m also pleased he got 80 and 47 not out. Excellent that he contributed because I’ve been a bit worried just quietly.

No coverage of the game here, but was mint to wake this morning and scroll through this thread in order without checking the result first.
Thanks for the updates legends!
So great that Kane and Roscoe were there at the end!
Yeah I think that was fitting, our clear number one and two together sealing the deal as they’ve done so often.
-
Fuck I’m stoked. So chuffed with that performance. Well done lads, enjoy the party tonight and bring that beautiful trophy home in one piece.

Not having a crack at him, just pointing out that for all of our debate it mattered very little who got that last spot.

Whoever it was was gonna be a relative placeholder. I’m a fan of Young but that last spots needs to go to someone who can bowl a few overs……that’s why the argument came down to CDGH, Santner or Mitch, none of whom are gonna scare a decent side.
Luckily for us we have 10 others who are all varying degrees of bloody excellent.
