No one has, it was good to see a replay without my stomuch in knots. It was Kepu on the ground with his arms around NMS head wasn't it? He was a grub today . -

I guess the odd thing was that the TMO seemed to want a YC but not actually say it, Owens seemed happy with a penalty, but probably made the right call in the end.

Always a risk like that, made look less an issue that he still had hold of the leg on the deckNMS seems to grab and slow the descent. -
I'm really going to miss Richie. Just to show the quality of the man my wife purchased a signed All Blacks cap from an Australian Dog rescue group. The fact he and the All Blacks took time to support an Australian charity speaks volumes of the man and the team.

So many legends bowing out on a high, the game gave us what we wanted, two teams giving their all for 80 minutes and the better lifting Bill at the end, congratulations for the Blacks.

Just want to say that the way the players and coaches were treating each other on the field after the game is why I love rugby, undisputed respect against each other that no one can take away. It was a cracking game and I fucking love rugby. -
I thought the same, only thing I can think is they cannot rejoin until a break in play? I think the try was the next break after that scrum? -

Well done ABs, worthy champions. Enjoy the spoils, guys. Was great to see Richie and Dan at full flight one last time.

Really proud of the Wallabies, so gutsy to get back in the contest in the second half. No disgrace in losing to that team at all. Played our hearts out.

The All Blacks were on song in the first half, except for several fumble finger catching efforts, and the Wallabies successfully weathered the storm for that first fifteen minutes to end up three all - that was impressive.

Their defence was good and they managed to come back again in the middle part of the second half. I put that emergent capacity to get back into it down to Michael Cheika - he seems to me to be working very hard on their attitude, culture, mindset and composure.

Yes, there is no shame coming second to the very, very best and the Wallabies certainly achieved a better result in this World Cup than I anticipated. They have profited grandly under Michael Cheika and I am well pleased with the track they are on - strengthened defence, more ease about them, new players being blooded, loyalty to their leadership and so on.

As for the All Blacks, they were exceptional - the tactics and the leadership on the field were simply exceptional. I read over here that Kevan Mealamu is past it yet his run of about 15 metres perhaps fifteen minutes from the end was invaluable in swinging the momentum back to a side full of bench replacements. Barrett's composure and patience in dribbling the loose ball one more time was just the same - he put on a show for his team mates of confidence and sure footedness and that really lifts a tired player to keep up the effort right to the end (resisting an attempt to regather a ball bobbling about on the ground out in front of you is one of the truly difficult things to master).

All compliments to the All Blacks - Steve Hansen, Wayne Smith, Sir Richie and the rest of them. They crafted this success with clear focus and dedicated discipline week by week and they deserve all the rewards it brings and their day in the sun now. I'll not say they are the greatest All Black team because I could say that about every outfit I have enjoyed and admired since Buck Shelford's and Gary Whetton's teams. They are and were all outstanding.

I consider myself blessed to have witnessed such excellence over the years.

Barbarian - I have only just realised this is in response to a post by you. I am happy you are seeing these good results coming through and I am most confident that you will enjoy an ascendancy in your team in similar measure to that which I have experienced from Wallaby teams over the years, a just reward for your passionate support.

Just turned out being a douche. I recall 2 suspect tackles on DC, high on Richie as passed to Skud for his try and tried to rip someone's head off at some stage later in the game.

Just rewatched the DG and the tries....SAWEEEEEEEETTTT!!!! -

Well to NTA, barbarian, cyclo and all the other very good Aus posters on here I feel abit for you as I do my mates over here that I know are good rugby men. I suspect under this captain and coach we are going to have some great battles over next few years. Bottom line is I am really on top of world right now, and can only doff my hat to hansen and co for the way they have prepared the team for the WC. And to all the knockers who were screaming about all the past it players etc, maybe that is why you are just a keyboard warrior and they coach the team!!

Turn it up. McCaw holds his leg, he frees himself, then its coincidence that McCaw rolls directly under his foot. McCaw sticks his arm up at the last minute for some reason - probably going the squirrel or some shit.

Moral to the story: don't put your head in the wrong fucking place.

Yeah! It's your fault if you get stomped!

Who's the grub now.

Thank goodness the far better team won given the bullshit dirty play the Wallabies brought to this final
