I saw this on the Veitchy on Sport facebook page, the comments are hilarious, looks like about 60% of commenters are outraged while another 20% think its some sort of scam...if that is indicative of kiwi intellect then we are in serious trouble! Time to unlike Veitchy I think..I do not need to be reminded that these people are in our midst.

I made that comment on FB and while the overwhelming majority agreed, still some numpties who have obviously never felt bitter disappointment and then been confronted by people asking anal questions and expecting you to be happy and positive in your responses.

Once again the Auckland Council show themselves to be as farking useful as tits on a bull with their organising of a 'parade' for 12pm at Victoria Park.

Thought I'd take the kids for a look.. what a bl00dy hassle that will be. The park is right across the road from my office but how the hell do I get the kids there.

Expect half the people thinking of hitting the parade will go hmm I'll head to airport instead before work and school. And that will be absolute mayhem cause it's traffic carnage at that time of the day already.

It's daylight savings. they could have done it after work, let every who wants to avoid traffic go out, everyone else come in.. then we could have all had another celebrationary beer after.

Organising such an event in the CBD district in itself is no easy feat. There will always be an inconvenience.

open top bus from bottom of queen st to aotea sq would be the easiest.. queen st actually pretty quiet in terms of traffic

then can do speeches in the square

Yeah, I guess. There are those in other parts of NZ voicing their dissapointment because they won't have a parade.

Steve Tew was very apologetic and spoke about the logistics but promised to do something at a later stage.

Dunedin and Hamilton. New Plymouth, Tauraunga, Eketahuna. You know what I mean.

Steve went on to mention that the ABs would like to get home, having been away for so long.

Well Steve, on one hand I sympathize, on the other, they are generously remunerated and sould parade.

I'm amazed they didn't organise a parade in Auckland, much easier for more people to see them going up Queen Street and take the same amount of time for what they have organised.

I assume Auckland council have fucked up again.

Don't be ridiculous. Two or three parades in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch is almost too much as it is.

This isn't supposed to be a punishment for the players.

Those three locations give most of the country a chance to celebrate the players.

I do feel a bit bad for Dunedin. I'm sure they would love a parade. However, if I was an AB I would probably just want to spend all of this time celebrating with my family. 3 parades are already heaps. I think the Otago All Blacks should definitely take the cup to Dunedin at some point but I don't think we can expect much more than that.

Poor buggers have been away from home for nearly 2 months. Not like 2011 when they'd been feeling the love all over the country and not having to live 12 hours from their family.

Parades are good - lots of people lining up to say they'd been there, keys to the city etc. Let the cup tour the country with a selection of lads from the local province during the off-season.
