@majorrage I always thought he was a gun held back by the style he was forced to play for England. Thought his running and passing game was always underrated.
No DC though.

Porta was insanely gifted-or maybe he stood out to me more because I can't remember any other sign of flair in his Argies team. Some big hairy men though.
The battering ram and catapult team England method suited JW but it still seems to me England had a very specific way of playing that did not really show his versatility-while Carter could play with all sorts of tactics, including no tactics, and just running with the thing. Internationally, I seldom saw JW with that.
I also wonder if JW played for NZ if they would have selected him at 10 or at 12. -
So what positions are covered now? 10,12, 15 and ?
We need Richie to have a son too. Come on mate.

Should that tweet also be added to the bogan names thread?
Although I do like that our best 10 ever has given the finger to his Cantabrian neighbours by naming one of his sons after Grant Fox.
I'm confused as to why he named another one after Penelope Cruz.

Pretty sure he named the latest one after me, but with the "cool edgy spelling" that is required nowadays.
I believe that brings my total of "kids named after me" to a total of 5. Maybe 6. -

Dan Carter to teach at Oxford University.
Will he be teaching physics?
"At the end of the day, objects travelling near the speed of me in my prime around the periphery of large English forwards will appear to undergo a peculiar skewing or rotation..."[with all due respect to Sir Roger Penrose...]

@nostrildamus Always thought Anton Oliver with his big words would end up at Oxford. More surprising to see DC there.
