Wallabies v Argentina
-
Id say that was the most brainless half of rugby ive ever seen but... im a Wallabies fan.
Hooper is the worst fucking captain. We were completely dominant in the first 30 minutes and came away with 0 points until he finally gave in and took the 3 at the 35th. What. A. Moron.
-
Gutsy performance from the Pumas after being outplayed for most of it. They just hung in there, nulified every rolling maul thrown at them and tackled like demons. They should be happy with the draw.
-
Why the fuck do Aussies pronounce Pablo wrong? It's an easy name to say.
-
The strategy to play down the right end of the field was clear from both sides, but both sides attacking shape was seriously lacking tonight.
Penalties killed both sides.
-
@Yeetyaah Not necessarily. Just a tough test where both sides weren't giving anything away.

Shoudln't that be a penalty for placing the ball in touch???
You can run it out. You just can't pass it.
You can run it out. You can't place it out
He didn’t place it. He dived over the touch line with the ball.
He placed it in the process of diving, but yeah... Probably the right decision
-
I think it is hard for a 7 like Hooper to captain, half the time he is buried or scarpering. But the whole team well drilled to start with, seems to lack a great strategic brain on the field, I think it was theirs to win. Not the coach's fault but they're just short of..something. Maybe Toomua?
-
@Anonymous he dived over the line. Therefore it isn't placing it. Easy.
-
Hodge looked shattered. Actually made the comment about letting the country down. Two kicks to win drawn games this year. Poor bastard
-
@nostrildamus Toomua was a tremendous loss. Hes our best backline player, easily.
-
Is JoC your best 10?
-
Petaia tries to do too much at times.
Sometimes passing is the right option Jordie.

Fuck you @Bones but what constitutes "foul play" these days is fuuuuucking soft
Huh?
Was interesting to see what happens to Argentina when the ref holds both teams to the same standard in terms of niggle and foul play though. Argies really unable to get a roll on.
Hooper really dislikes Williams eh.

Great interview. Loved his passion.
-
Bashed up Hodge played pretty well actually. The Argies are a tough team, never going to be an easy night.

If the first contact in touch is the ball, you're technically placing it in touch. But yeah, it's grasping at straws to expect a penalty

If we are getting technical then I think his arms touched the ground first so what happens after that doesn’t matter.

I've not seen it refereed like that, tbh. I think unless it is pretty blatant pass into touch or place from a player on the ground, it's straws like you say
-
Oh and how much weed is Cheika smoking before the games?
-
Gotta love stuff reporting
"Despite a frantic final period, the frustrating deadlock remained in what was the Wallabies’ first draw since the 9-6 result against Wales in 2018."

I also liked that the Argies didn't give him a blue shirt.
-
The Wallabies are such a team of flogs. All plenty talented and as soon as something is actually on the line they turn into blubbering imbeciles that would struggle to win a club match.
World class at winning matches that dont fucking matter though.

To be fair, I'm just waiting for a professional ref to have to call a 8.2.e. (Who is in touch or touch-in-goal, grounds the ball in the opponents’ in-goal provided the player is not holding the ball. ) and get it correct.
-
Not sure why Rennie took off Thor and Wilson so early.
-
@Derpus said in Wallabies v Argentina:
@akan004 thor was losing the plot.made sense at the time
Fair enough but he was dominating at scrum time and on defence. All that was needed was a stern talking to from Hooper imo.
-
Just caught up with the recording.
Why kick? Dumb, dumb, dumb
-
ABs just won the trinations

Think I saw that once years ago in Super Rugby. The commentators blew up but the ref was right

Just when you thought last week's Kiwi performance was a low point up steps Williams.
NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
-
@MiketheSnow what didn't you like?
-
@Bones you always give me shit for my 90s views on footy
