So you have no good argument? You support red cards but are unwilling or unable to provide any evidence of how it acts as a deterrent. When you get back in a corner by having to admit it is a punishment, you resort to petty insults?
You're making a pointless fucking argument, so I'm giving you exactly what you deserve.
Red cards are there to act as a deterrent by lowering the number of incidents of high tackles because players know it can cost them a lot. Does it always work? No. Players make mistakes. it is a fact of life and occasionally a red card is given out for a particularly stupid or lazy tackle.
And I think Steve Devine and other concussion sufferers think its a good thing.
Flip your shitty argument on its head: why do we still have yellow cards? Why don't players just stop infringing or making maringally high tackles that don't meet the red threshold?
Fuck it - take away red AND yellow cards and piss the ref off while we're at it.
