Canterbury v Waikato

Penalty try coming up , it has to be if the scrum stays square
-
Well deserved Waikato , they stayed in the fight despite a shocker of a call, to be me it was still inconclusive that he has lost the ball, should have shown in real time as in slow motion..full credit to the visitors..
-
@Steven-Harris Yeah just saw it, should have stayed a try. Still, they got there in the end.

Waikato won that game twice!
The scrum has been a real positive in recent weeks, despite having a lightweight locking pair.
Thomson had a great game and is showing his experience but Osborne has been a waste of money. Show some urgency.
I did find the backline substitutions puzzling as I have no idea why Sullivan was subbed with Tupaea already off the field. The forwards did the business in the end while the backs become a little disjointed. Still, I'll take the 4 pts.

Would prefer Te Whare over Osborne currently.
Yes. Te Whare hasn't been selected in recent weeks (injured?) but he is an aggressive runner. Wrampling would offer more on the wing too.
Hope Fletcher Smith back next week too.
The press release said "rested" so he might just have had a sore head. Reihana did OK taking the ball flat and kicked the goal that mattered. His first penalty attempt was a shocker though.
Thought Kautai and Iosefa Scott were great and Thompson and Finau also.
Josh has really stepped up since starting.
