I can’t believe no one has been grumpy for about a month.

I've just taken to punching people and inanimate objects when they piss me off. Turns out I am better at punching than typing.

It is more therapeutic as well.

Reporters who make up shit to make their story sound better.

    "Algeria's famed olive trees"

Oh yeah, I think Algeria I think olive trees, and vice versa. So famous.

Thanks for reviving the thread @Bones, I can’t believe no one has been grumpy for about a month. Is everyone getting lots of action on the home front ?

Been tempted to post, but my Sony Android TV has been behaving itself these last few weeks.

Not since yesterday. The bloody thing keeps re-booting itself half-way thru a film which is coming a serious pain. Factory resets. judicious kicks and intensive swearing and the problem never quite goes away.

What's so hard about designing a TV which (a) is easy to operate and (b) works properly?

My PS4 has similar issues, one day it just started ejecting the game disc. And if I don't turn it off at the wall sometimes it will just restart itself. Bloody Sony.

@victor-meldrew replace tb with WiFi router and I'm right there with you.

Our house is fucking tiny! It can't be that hard.

One think I can't grumble about is our internet or WiFi. Rock-solid, FTTP & 300Mbps.

The picture is great when it's working - it's just the (Android) software. Six button presses to adjust the brightness FFS

I'd just like to thank whoever still held a grudge about Frank and hotlips in Mash. Peak grumpy old man material.

Please transfer this to the Satisfied Old Man thread if you can find it. This has no business being here.

@victor-meldrew recently changed to virgin as they're the only ones who do fibre here and the BT broadband line would have been a great speed 20 years ago. In the first 4 weeks we had 4 multi day area outages, combined with a shit router that can't even cover the house, it seems the asus router we bought, even combined with a range extender still can't, yet the stock standard sky one could. Go figure.

I find this a dilemma, part of me agrees that s frustrating however I can easily rationalise in my own head that I would now have a genuine excuse to eat the whole lot in one sitting to my wifes disgust 🙂

    Tesco’s? I didn’t pick you for a masochist.

Should’ve gone to Waitrose of course.

Nah. Too full of botoxed vegetarians buying dry-aged fillet steak for their Cockapoodles or complaining their fondue party will be ruined if they can't find the oak-aged marinated artichokes.

@bones Was in Waitrose Saltash a year or two ago and actually heard someone say "Giles, do we have enough organic muesli on the yacht?"

    Didn't have a dog though...
