Fucken hell, he looks even more terrifying than in his top level playing days.

Still amazed he never got capped, he was a monster

And in news that shocks noone ...

    Stuff

    Sad to hear.

Kelleher was a bloody exciting player and always came across ok to me in interviews albeit definitely dumb as a sack of hammers.

Sounds like he’s a fucken arsehole on the piss as many people are sadly. Not good for someone of any age but even worse as he’s approaching his late 40s.

Kelleher is a prick, was a couple of years ahead of me at school, at uni we had a private function at the Cook and he tried to get in, actually said "do you know who i am"...unfortunately for him a couple of us knew him before he was an AB and so told him Yes...and thats why we dont want you coming in

Fairly sure it’s been scientifically proven that ANYONE who busts out that line in any shape or form is an absolute cock.

@Kiwiwomble oddly, I have heard a story (@WillieTheWaiter ) that I believe involved him, Luke McAlister and another...2001 I think it was, the 3 of them were sitting in a pub in London, and someone had asked them (not recognising who they were) if they had heard the ABs were going to be heading in there that day...and one of them replied saying 'nah bro, why would they come in here?'

He went back as a sixth-year (or dare I say seventh-year?), didn't he? I heard he was playing for the OBs 1st XV, when he was about 19. You and I will probably know similar people (I was at LPHS 1992-1996).

That used to happen more often than you think, particularly if you were hoping to make NZ rep teams. Kelleher didn't, but someone did when I was at school. A European tour with the NZ Schools team was the incentive.

Afoa was the fourth prop in the 2011 RWC squad. He played against Japan and Argentina.

We know where he is, but I thought this was an excellent interview:

Agree. it was (an excellent interview)

Although is it just me or does Dan come across as a (bit of a) Drama Queen?

Josh Kronfeld hunts down rugby cult hero Thomas Waldrom

    VG interview too

Surprised, he wasn't even contacted by the AB coaches. So, while Smith does a video for Carter etc. The coaches (back then at least) don't seem to give a shit about the almost players.

It's one area where I hope Robertson's team is much better. All this stuff that Carter mentioned about how wonderful the AB environment is. The AB coaches should also give some thought to the super rugby almost players. For one, to keep them in NZ for a bit longer. But also the human decency factor. It's a bit shallow and false if it's only applied to the superstars.

@Winger Was listening to him doing the comments during the radio commentary of one of the Hurricanes games earlier this year. Very insightful and astute in both his description and reasoning behind what had just happened and why along with predicting, accurately in a lot of cases, what was going to happen from a restart in play. Gave reasons why as well and was well worth listening too. Hopefully he will be in the chair tonight.

Pornstar's been in trouble with the law in France. He sounds like an absolute prick.
