AB squad for the Bledisloe Cup?

@Kirwan It must be a long time since there were empty seats for an AB test in UK or France or a major game in NZ.
To me, it is a question of ambition. We used to hear the ABs wanted to be the biggest brand in global sport. Manchester United are about to spend £100 million on a single player. The IPL is moving en masse to UAE.
Arranging a couple of All Blacks Test is easy by conparison.
The All Blacks are never going to be the world's biggest sporting brand
What has Man U making another bad transfer got to do with anything?
What has a sporting comp run by people who only care about their own money, moving their tournament to a country that doesn't care about people, got to do with anything?
The AB brand will neither grow with a couple of tests against Australia, nor shrink without a couple of tests against Australia.

If the Bledisloe goes ahead it will basically be a full year since either team has played.
Both teams with new coaches.
Both teams with presumably a decent camp to prepare.
Sounds fun.
of course it does. and we'll watch the shit out of it, if it happens
a few pretty serious hurdles to overcome.
If the Wallabies are allowed in to NZ, does that mean those two Warriors players are too?

Good advertising opportunity too. If you were born the last time Australia held the Bledisloe, you're eligible to drink and vote this year!

They're already signed off, I think.
So Ozzie stadiums will be allowed to be full for the tests? Are they now?

no they aren't. There were too many at one in NSW on the weekend apparently.

K. The way Oz is going CV19 wise, the chances of anyone in Au Stadiums in a few months is low

I wouldn't normally bother with posting this stuff, but i laughed
"3. Ofa Tuungafasi (Blues): Has folded so many opponents in half this year should be renamed the Laundromat."

every rugby fan has a bias towards a team they support
I actually don't do that.
I support Uni, Akl, Blues, ABs. If I think a Ponies player is better than a Uni guy, I want him at AKl, etc, etc.
I don't really care where a player is from to play for the ABs. I just want the best players in the ABs completely objectively. Opinion on who the best players are is a bit different of course.

Victoria is rooted, but Queensland and NSW are still OK. Queensland can have up to 20k I think in a ground, and NSW up to 10k? Could be better by November, could be worse.

@Duluth Maybe for some, and they are obvious on here, but I really don't give a shit where the AB players are from. As long as they are at least, one of the very few best at their position. The lines are a bit blurred provincially, and with franchises anyway so I just want the best guys representing the "higher honour" teams.

I'm sure plenty of people aim for that ideal and tell themselves that.
When it comes to a close call people have emotions and they have an influence. The person with the bias will often claim they have none.
not me, i hate the Chiefs, and would rather see most of them shot than play test rugby.

What impact would the Chiefs beating the Canes by a million points have on that position?

I have felt like that about the Blues for the best part of a decade.

..and of course you don't have any power in a AB selection. So your pure objective analysis won't get put to the test.
My point was simply that in the real world people have a bias towards teams they support. That may be unconscious.
It's a factor in team selection.. particularly on a close callI'm not expecting a squad full of Chiefs. However I would be shocked if it is as low as 3, which some people have predicted.
