Confess to not watching too closely, but IWL looks a good prospect. One of the more abrasive young locks around.

@Chris unfortunately for Coles, this is nothing new, this is the sort of crap that he needs to eliminate from his game ,..I don’t mind a player who plays hard and physical but in laws of the game ,but he seems to get involved in a lot off the ball situations that could be crucial in tight games..can recall him doing something stupid which saw penalty reversal in an All Black game ..my perception of Coles he’s il disciplined and is red card waiting to happen ..

That shouldn't be a yellow for Coles, barely anything in it.
Penalty for losing his feet. That's all, the TMO and ref got it right IMO.
The scuffle immediately afterwards is neither here nor there, but it escalated when the black 17 decided to go running at opposition players 15m away to start shit.
The TMO should have had him sent from the field as a warning to every other player.

69 tests is a decent sample size surely?

The Canes aren't perfect by any stretch but when they gel they are going to put a few teams to the sword, especially now that we've figured out how to scrum. Anyone know what happened to Armstrong? He is really coming into his own at loosehead.
Really pleased with JGB and how he is going about his work. Not doing anything too fancy and is doing a good job at letting the x-factor outside him make most of the big plays.
Anyway, good signs from a team that is still finding their feet after a horror off-season. Bring on the bye.

The Sharks won't enjoy the game review.
They looked like a team that lost 7 of their 8 starting forwards from last season. Didn't have the quality to consistently stop the canes on or behind the ad line and it is pretty much impossible to win if you lose more than 50% of line out.
They also got themselves on the wrong end of the ref ito technical pens, a more street smart team would have managed the ref a lot better.
Still there is a very good side in there somewhere, but they will have keep hold of the gems and hope some quality comes through to fill the gaps (mostly in the tight five). If they sort their shit out off the pitch they should be a contender in year or two.

Didn't see what happened to Armstrong, only that he went off in the 29th minute. Good shift from Rakete-Stones, who replaced him.
