@Bovidae they should offer him a farm or Hamilton or something to get him back!!
They probably still have the one they bought for Carl Hayman lying around.

Great to see so many people voting for Krusty - Kiwi sense of humour rising to the loss.
I'm not a kiwi.
And I'm not trying to make a joke. -
@taniwharugby Cambridge is a bloody expensive place to buy a house so he'll be doing just fine.
Smith is the director of rugby with the Kobe Kobelco Steelers but probably spends more time travelling around NZ enjoying life.

I voted for Gatland but would be happy with Joseph or Rennie. But the elephant in the room for me is the player pool. I think that is the issue for NZ rugby. For example, who are the next three no 8's now KR is gone?
Well Ardie Surveyor is number one (we have Jacobsen for the blind side).
Akiro Ioane might make a new coach's list. With guys like the younger Blackadder coming through.
As for three -- that's asking a bit much. NZ rugby is deep, but we generally struggle to fill positions with top quality to three deep.
-
@Chester-Draws Blackadder? Whenever I hear that name I think role player and plodder, kind of like a draught horse. We need dynamic big and strong players at international level.
-
Anybody but Foster.
Hansen has been involved for 16 years. 16 years! And it's been a great run - there can be no complaints of 2/4 world cups, multiple RC's and retention of the Bledisloe.
But all dynasties must come to an end. We must be careful to not become the next Manchester United after the Ferguson era. Gotta keep evolving, gotta keep moving forwards. Last 2 years results have not been good enough. Struggled against Boks, loss to Wobs, Ireland, shaky win over the Poms and then dumped out of WC by a clearly better team.
We naturally have a massive shake up of players after each WC due to P(eso)ound, Euro & Yen, as well as retirements due to players leaving after a WC cycle. Time to freshen up the AB's too in my view. And lets start at the top.
Robertson or Joseph for me.
-
Whoever the next AB coach is, I don't wnat to see this sort of puerile crap.

@sparky gym bunnies?
Can't remember which TSF poster made that comment about the Boks...
Not sure we think the Boks are gym bunnies. Roid ragers perhaps...
-
Laurie gives his thoughts...
In an ideal world, we somehow get Razor, Rennie, JJ & TB all involved
-
Razor has the perfect set of skills for the modern head coach. Trusts his staff, focuses on the bigger picture. Don't forget that when he came into the Crusaders the team looked like a spent force. He inherited some great players but not a winning team. That seems like a good match for the ABs job.
The worry I have is that he's the second coming of Wayne Smith. Selected too soon for the top job and not able to make the most of it.
Rennie has the best CV of the bunch. I think he'd be a great pick. He has similar skills to Robertson, has more experience and a wider range of experience.
I don't trust Jospeh. He had some terrible seasons at the highlanders and his success was more down to good recruitment than brilliance as a coach. (Yes, recruitment is a part of the job but less revelant at the national level).

Razor is no shrinking violet.I'd be happy with Rennie or Razor. Rennie with Razor as assistant might be ideal.
