After that performance last night against Canterbury, I'm confident our boys can go down to Nelson and get the job done against Ta$man, especially if Taufua is ruled out.

Goosen was a late scratching last night so hopefully he suits up. Ta$man are obviously hunting for their first title and Wellington will be keen to finally get one over the line after last winning in 2000.

Looking forward to this game, hopefully it's a dry track.

@Stargazer So it should be - All Blacks semi apparently kicks off at 9pm.

If they have to play extra time I'll miss the start.

@Chris-B You won't need to miss the start, this ain't NFL. The NPC final will be wrapped up by 8.05, 8.30pm if they have extra time. Plenty of spare time until the All Blacks kick off.

The best final for a neutral. One team has never won the NPC and the other last won it in 2000 when Rennie was their coach.

The fact we’ve lost about half a dozen finals since 2000 makes the situation even more desperate for both teams.

Looks like there will be a good crowd for this one.

The West Stand (covered seating) is sold out and the East (main) stand has only a handful of midfield seats left between the 22 metre lines - though still plenty between the trylines and 22 metre lines.

My favourite two NPC teams. Between them they have lost 8 of the last 13 NPC finals. It will be weird for one of them to be the winners.

I’m not expecting much given our Finals history I just hope the pressure gets to Ta$man and they choke

Ta$man are favourites but their form has dipped a bit

The betfair odds of 4.7 for a Wellington win are tempting

Ta$man looked worryingly lacklustre in that last game so this game could go either way.
