Fuck off you litigious skirt wearing offal eating wannabe Irish Tier 2 selfish twunts.
Seriously?
No
@Derm-McCrum On reflection in the cold light of day that was harsh on the Scots to compare them to the Irish.

I think we have a slight edge but wouldn't be surprised if Ireland wins.
Yeah - I was hoping for a relaxed week, super confident of beating Japan or Scotland comfortably.
Ireland is a different story. For me they can bring the shades of 1999, 2003, and 2007 - where no-one much sees them winning until they do.
Take that nervy unhinged pessimism to planet rugby thanks.
-
@Chris-B I dont understand that line of thinking, we are thinking they 'can win', so how can no one see them winning?
THe other games, I can certainly think we took them too lightly, I expect largely due to the pumpings we gave France in 99, Aus in 03 and France in 07, there will be no similar light takings this time.
I expect the boys who were in Chicago and Dublin those times will be keen to right some wrongs and I reckon the coaching staff have had this game on thier mid for a while too

The best thing that could of happened is having lost to them already, there will be no complacency. We have been improving, and Ireland have not.
I'm quietly confident. We could lose, sure, but I don't think we will.
-
There is no way we are taking this match lightly. After 2007 I donβt think the ABs ever count their chickens again.

@Chris-B well I dont buy it, as evidenced on here, plenty didnt even want to play Ireland at this point...I dont think the ones that mater will buy into any of that, there will be zero complacency from them.
I don't think the All Blacks themselves will have any complacency.
I don't see the same desperation among the supporters as we had in 2007/2011.

I reckon refs will be
Japan-SA - Owens
Eng-Aus - Peyper
Wales-France - Barnes
NZ-Ireland - FrogIt depends on whether they use the refs for the QFs for the SFs and beyond. I agree that the refs you listed along with Garces would probably be the top 4 in Rolland's eyes. Williams might have a shot at a QF as he has been one of the better refs.

Even if respective form were the only consideration, no room for complacency in a tournament where any team is only one poorly executed tackle away from playing with 14.

there isn't at all! Winning back to back has made this all a bit of a laugh really. If this was our QF in 2011 under the same circumstances the country would have run out of stomach ulcer medication.

Yeah - part of the reason I'm gutted that we're not playing Japan or Scotland.
I think we could weather an early red card against them, but can go back to Perth to see what happened against Australia.
-
oh, and that was a fun game last night, the Scots showed more ticker than i thought the had to stage that come back, but the Japanese showed a heap of nerve to go with the outrageous skill they showed to build the lead.
Loved the old-fashioned counter-ruck turnovers in the last 10 minutes as both teams flooded breakdowns when they thought it was on.

Yeah - it will take the punch in the face of a hollow Sunday morning when England is suddenly the Cup favourites for us to recall properly what it's like!

Definitely one of the better games of rugby I've ever seen. Scotland really bought it too, terrific comeback to run it extremely close. The Scottish 7 I thought was brilliant, thuggish as hell but he wasn't taking any shit and was on the forefront of the fight back. Definitely one fore the future assuming he can keep out of the ref's eye.

i liked him too. I don't mind a bit of over the top niggle, especially given the stakes. I thought he was their best player
