@akan004 Meh, not fussed. To be the best you gotta beat the best.

I don’t think we can underestimate this win by Japan.

An emotional week for the hosts with the Typhoon and the damage it has caused.

Uncertainty about the game going ahead.

A vocal opponent playing for their WC lives.

    They’ve never beaten Scotland ever.

Up against the team that knocked them over in 2015.

A lot of factors up against them.

That and what's a hard game for other sides is not necessarily a hard game for the ABs.

E.g. To be honest we'd put Japan away comfortably. Ireland wouldn't.

This might have been mentioned but the reserve props Valu and Nakajima were brilliant. That's the impact you want from your front row.

@Bones Pretty much. Styles make fights as they say in Boxing. I still expect Ireland to give us a bit of trouble next week. If we played Japan, then not so much.

    How lucky are SA?

We have Ireland and if we win England Australia.

They have japan then Wales or France.

They're pretenders. I don't expect them to bring much if anything.

I still won't be going down the club to watch. Far too many Irish.

@Bones Hope you're right haha. I expect us to get home, but get tested for large chunks of the game.

It would be funny if Ireland were to lose another quarter final after all the hype that comes their way literally before every World Cup.

They have lost to Wales in the last 4 encounters. Admittedly three of those were in Cardiff and one in the USA, but Wales won't fear them and IIRC had decent form from the 6N

I think we have a slight edge but wouldn't be surprised if Ireland wins.

I wonder if the SRU will now sue for not cancelling the game.

I'll be surprised, irate and disgusted to lose to such a poor, shitty team.

No Garces or Poite. Owens, Peyper or even (gags) Barnes will be better than Poite Garces or that other farkhead with a French sounding name

    Fantastic match from both sides
    Tremendous advert for rugby
    Japan deserved winners

No arguments as to who deserves to go to the QF

Just because they don't play our style of rugby, it doesn't mean they are shitty. Their structure, defence and discipline makes them dangerous. Throw in some wet weather and Sexton and Murray can become very effective with their kicking game.

SA are going to win comfortably against Japan, too much power up front. Moreover, Japan have lost Koo, their starting tight head. I don't know who is their third one but he'll have to pack down against Kisthoff or Mtawarira.
    Is Mafi still out ?
