RWC: All Blacks v Namibia (Pool B)

Can backs really not back up with 4 days rest? They're only backs it's not like they get their shirts dirty. I see no reason why any of them would need a rest other than not wanting to risk a freak injury.

Listening to the AB video, Beaudy said they've got two days training before the next match. Sounds like the coaches want to get as much work done as possible leaving little in the tank for the game.

I've probably missed a lot but has Hanson mentioned any potential 3rd string #10 other than TJP and Jordie?
Surely Mo'unga and Beady will be mostly rested for this next one.
I'd like to see Jordie there and TJP on the bench to replace him at half time with Beaudy on the bench as a hopefully unneeded insurance.

Rissole Ioane as he looks a bit lost
Thought he was showing some signs of getting his mojo back today.
Some nice touches against Canada.
Reckon you give him another run v Namibia to again try and run him into form
Genuine question - To what end?
I agree he starts against Namibia, but short of an injury to Bridge and Reece in training, this duo starts against Italy and then the QF.
-
9 - Weber
10 - J. Barrett
11 - Ioane
12 - ALB
13 - Goodhue
14 - Reece
15 - B. Smith21 - A. Smith
22 - Crotty
23 - Bridge -

What happens if George pulls a hammie vs Italy?

Can't afford the extra hairdresser appointment?

Team should be announced today? @Stargazer

He also mentioned Crotty and Ben Smith at the time of the squad announcement.

@Hooroo Yep, two days before the game.
Do you know what time?
-
@Stargazer said in RWC: All Blacks vs Namibia Pool B:
@Hooroo Uhm, no, maybe the same as the team naming for the Canada game?
That would be 3:00 this which is great. I just thought it would be earlier due to earlier kick off.

I heard 330 this afternoon (same as last time)

Stuff has a second-by-second Countdown clock therefore if you so choose you can watch the seconds until that glorious moment when the team is actually named. Genius journalism, I love it!

Well that's ruined that then.
Another of the great mysteries in life is just common knowledge.

Starting to wonder if the AB's will play three or four people through first-five. Treating this game a little like an opportunity to test their contingency plans.
This AB management would want to turn every stone to test things.
I could see TJP, Jordie & Crotty all getting a spell there. With one of Mounga or Beaudy on bench inside a little red box with a glass front that says break in case of emergency.so to start.
A.Smith
Jordie
Bridge
Crotty
ALB
Reece
B.SmithBench.
Weber
TJP
MoungaJordie & Bender can cover midfield if needs be. In fact they may spend entire first half switch and swapping.

@westcoastie I reckon Goodhue will either start or come off the bench, he has had limited minutes and needs time.
