Anyone who turns down the ABs must have mental issues. I don't mean that in a rude or facile way, just that clearly either there is something going on if he is physically able to play rugby for Ta$man but not for the ABs.

Look at this way, you go to work and there are personal issues going on that might require you to be close to home/doctors/therapists for a while. There’s an important work overseas trip that comes up. Because of what’s going on you tell your boss that at this time it’s best that I stay close to home and that they should send someone else this time. Someone else goes and you keep going into the office.

I hope it's nothing happening in his personal life. If I had to guess it is because he feels the pressure of the ABs environment and the high standards required. It's not as if he has ever really reached the standards expected of him set by previous holders of the jersey and maybe that stress got to him.
Either way, he has my sympathy but it's probably the right call by Hansen to overlook him even if he's available.

It's a massive shame Jacobson and Papali'i are injured but the next cab off the rank has to be Frizzell. I'm sure he'll run riot in the pool stages but I really hope he isn't needed in the pointy end.

Given the evolution of the 23 man game and the importance of tactical substitutions, and the fact you only have a 31 man squad, every one will need to do a job. Once on the ground and practicing starts, it only takes one injury and you could be ‘the man’

Yeah have to agree - seems quite an odd attitude to me to hope that players aren't capable of doing a good job.
