That loose forward combo.
Looks like the Wallabies will get a severe caning.
Quality.
They'll cop a Savea Caning if they don't Read what they're trying to do...
Dad, is that you?

That's a good Wallaby team actually, we'll actually have to play well to win.

So the master plan was Ardie at 6?
Let's hope this isn't one of those times when the team looks lethal on paper but doesn't work in practice. Fingers crossed.

Scotty Barrett is back. Ardie at 6 is weird. Finally we get ALB and Goodhue combo. Exciting team.
I'm hoping the numbers on the loosies don't reflect how they play. Could see Ardie at 8 for some attacking moves perhaps?
ScoBa covering 6 is useful too; means if someone goes down you can bring on Pat T and shift him out.
Midfield is tantalising. ALB is only 24, and has made damn near every post a winner. A real taletn who probably doesn't get the love he deserves at times.
During the Lions series ALB looked sluggish and down on confidence. A case of second season blues. But he’s developed his game more and more over these last two seasons. A long AB career ahead of him if he can stay fit.
I still think that him and Crotty is our best midfield.

I think it's the team all the fans have been asking for.
I actually liked the 10/15 combo, I think it has a lot of potential and doubted they would ever do it. Might as well keep going with it now. Best way to beat the rush in my opinion is to keep them guessing which playmaker the ball is going to, just gives you so many more options. As long as we have moved on from the terrible handling last match, this should be a great game.

With the flankers you mean? That would make sense as it's a significant departure from the contemporary AB model of having a larger blindside flanker and a drastic move away from their search for a bruiser to replace the Squire / Kaino qualities.
You don't think Read will be playing that role in this loose forward trio?
I don’t think it really matters what numbers they have on their backs when it comes to these 3. They all have quite different games. I think we are rock solid in the tight with all 3 of them, my only concern is who is ranging out wide. Read hasn’t played that game for about 2 seasons. Cane doesn’t have the game out there, so it will have to be Ardie.
Todd is probably the best running/link player out of the four.
-
Right, so you move the most dynamic loose forward to where he will be the least effective, that makes total sense..arggh. Having all three of those guys on the park makes sense but you would have to think out of all three of them Ardie is probably the least equiped to play blindside.

Good team.
ABs by 50 to 60.The one weakness of Savea's game is he does not hit hard in the tackle like Cane does. That has to mean Read will be playing the close in defense role of a typical 6.
YEah but so what. The one weakness of Cane's game is he does not carry the ball as well as Savea does

Which was the point I was making. Read moved into the tighter role once Squire became the no.6, the opposite of the roles of 6 and 8 when Kaino was there.
To be honest, Read doesn't have the speed anymore to range out wide. But Ardie's speed could be a real asset away from the traffic.

alright, WTF...Hansen is now messing with us!
What's happened?
Mate, when is the team usually named?
Would love to see that original post again. Who was it?
Wasn't it Mogwai who got snarky about team naming time questions?
