Pre-RWC test matches

Despite what I say. That is maybe the most extreme field conditions i have seen.
Combination of the 75 underwater test at Eden Park v Scotland with the 1996 Athletic Park mud bath v Wallabies.
Just dont see the value in moaning to WR about a rare PI located test match in a tournament receiving a WR subsidy to actually even take place. Talk about biting the hand ....
That 96 test was classic Athletic Park. The rain dripping on us was literally brown from the rust. The old man scored some free tickets from one of his AB mates. Great afternoon for 19 year old MN5, best bit probably being the contraband hipflasks we brought in.

@Rapido I think there may be more at play than we know. This game was officially a home test for Tonga, but it was played in Samoa. Maybe, one of the reasons to play this game in Samoa was that the stadium in Nukuʻalofa wasn't up to the required standard, and then it appears that the stadium in Apia isn't either. I'm just guessing, but there may be factors we don't know about.
I have taken this consideration on board. But having now read a stuff article which references a Cooper Vuna tweet as well as Sam Lousi - it appears to me to just be a Tier 2 moan.
Moan if they don't play enough games, moan when they play a game. Moan if no one visits the PIs, moan when a game is played in the PIs.
Not the groundsman's fault, not whoever controls the gameload of Apia Park's fault, not nature's fault, not God's fault, not the managers of the 2 teams fault. World Rugby is the body that must explain the bizarre phenoemon of water and soil (and rugby boots) turning grass into mud.

Yeah it’s tedious. There are proper channels for complaints. Then there is Twitter.

Bet the Tongans wouldn't have moaned had they won.

I agree they shouldn't moan on social media, but I agree they have a good reason to be unhappy about the field. They shouldn't have to play in a mud pool like this. It significantly increases the risk of injury.
Muscular injuries?
Reduces chance of other injuries, e.g ground impact.
In fact, with game at a slower pace, probably also reduces impact of man in man collisions some what. Also, if complaining off social media (maybe legitimatly), who should the complaints be directed to? An administrative body 12,000 miles away?

Tectonic / continental drift must be be really speeding up. Looking forward to some of those Indian Ocean sunsets next week - it's like being on a cruise!
And yes @Bones Sam Louise can bugger off.
Honestly, does anybody edit this shit anymore?

Never knew Chris Latham was an assistant with Manu Samoa.
