Shot Blues!
Cake landers. Brought absolutely nothing, lucky to even be in the match at the end. When Tevita Li is your highlight reel, it's been a horrendous night.
Was surprised how good Marty Banks was. Got under Nonus skin too.
Before he decided to bugger off, he was starting to shape up as a serious contender for the ABs, at least in an extended squad. Can't see that now, but hopefully he can get back to the type of leading role he used to play.

@Northlandallday Parsons always looks that way. Only one gear.

@Bones seems to have a cult following in Dunedin club footy
You get a lot of kudos in NZ for looking like me.
-
@Bones Yeah It's very embarrassing having Tevita Li do that. Even worse for Highlanders fans having to put up with him for another week at least.
Great to finally beat a fellow NZ team. Thought it was never gonna happen. Hopefully for us we can kick on from here.

@Machpants I saw Whhhhhyyy-sucky-my-booolooos......

Nice return to form for Gibson. Akira getting stuck in, but could be used better on attack. Big game from Pat T.
I find the attack structure really odd when Parsons is used to hit it up so much and Ioane is an after-thought that cleans up the breakdown and only gets the ball if he just happens to be there.

Master stroke by MacDonald to have 2 all black props on the bench
It paid off in the end.
So happy with that win.
Great game.
3 fucking years.
Some cracking tries.
Aaron Smith at 9 vs Blues 9s is night and day.
Tuipulotu was a monster off the bench. Props too. Otere with some nice touches.
Nonu is old and slow but he did straighten nicely at the death. Wiley.
Was that Luke Whitelock that Faiane ran straight through for Nanai's 2nd half try?

@Bones You've mentioned that before, and observed that he sometimes get used for pick-and-goes to setup other props as the subsequent wider ball carriers. Both true and baffling!
It's the reverse of most other teams! Instruction from AB level to blues coaches just to try and get his breakdown work at a massive level before they throw him at the RWC?

@Kirwan Chiefs fan (fact)
Not so sure about that, our attack structure was great when either player was on. It might be the right order to play them.
-
Nonu may not have the speed but there were numerous times when he brought a sense of order to the attack using his experience to take a better option than the headless midfield play that has cost the Blues at critical times over the last few years. Knowing when the moment is lost but setting up another crack.
Man Parsons and Plummer were cack. At least Plummer is learning lessons and can improve. Parsons is dead weight in this team now. -

@Kirwan I think Black has proven that he should be the starter. Organisation seemed worlds better when he was there in comparison to the less experienced Plummer
Looked like good team management to me. There's no doubt Plummer is better at breaking down an attack imo. Black can learn about the game from the sideline, then come on and prove his learnings with his organisational abilities.
Mty tips are off to their best start ever I think. Edit, shit no i changed it last second.
