@jegga hard out! Look what Nepia and Crucial have turned the Chiefs into. I'm not sure any fan base would want to be burdened with that.
You gotta feel for the true fans though. Must be hard to watch. I fully expect the Chiefs to get up for the derbies though.
Yeah, having those two join the fold must be painful.

Hayden Parker would be handy in NZ right now. Wonder if he can come back next year?

Just who have the Chiefs lost in the off-season that would have changed things?
Sam Cane?
Who did he sign with?

Good example of the player drain. Thanks.

FFS Bones who mentioned anything about player drain - I am talking about players who have been lost to the playing list over the off season which for Super Rugby started in about July2018. I know you are upset about the Chiefs loss of form but don't take it out on me

Haha! What? Firstly, why would I be all that fussed about the Chiefs loss? Secondly, you were responding to a query in response to someone bemoaning players leaving NZ. Well done.

@ACT-Crusader So you are saying the records are similiar. Ok maybe but do you have a positive feeling about the way NZ teams are playing. I don't. I see other teams improving and teams we normally beat are beating us.

- The Crusaders have started strong, despite being slow starters in previous years.
- The Blues have shown signs of improvement.
- The Canes have started well, getting the W against the Tahs away and then smoking the Brumbies.
- The Landers look solid, certainly plenty to build on.
And that's with all the big limitations on ABs, as well as senior players no doubt having an eye on the big dance later in the year.
By my estimation it's only the Chiefs that have obviously gone backwards.
-
@No-Quarter Ok. So you guys are more optimistic. Hope you are right.
-
without Cane there alongside BBBR (for his minutes) the Chiefs are seriously lacking some grunt on both sides of the ball.
-
[Chiefs CEO] Collins, who himself played 81 matches as a prop for the Chiefs between 1997-2005, including captaining the team in 1999
So that's why this feels like a blast from the past...!

The Crusaders have never been slow starters and win.
When they start slow, i.e. the Blackadder era, they didn't win.

We had maybe one win from four or five games when we won in 1998. Last year we were 1-2 or 2-2. There's a couple of examples of slow starts in title years.
