Brumbies vs Chiefs

@Donsteppa I'm not saying I'd ever do such a disgusting thing, I support the Blues over any convict scum team they play, just proving Chiefs fans are consistently the most pathetic hypocrites.
... brays the Brumbies cheering mob.
An enforced week at Green and Gold rugby after a Bledisloe game should cure any self respecting Kiwi of such ills.

Watching this game was very similar to watching Highlanders vs Reds. Reds like Brumbies were breaking line through offloads etc., hitting hard in D. Highlanders though displayed a bit of grit and showed much more leadership from Whitelock, Smith N Smith etc to never give in. It seemed in this game that once Chiefs were broken they couldnt calm themselves down and get back to processes. BBBR is not really that guy or MacKenzie and ALB. could be a very long season.
ALB in a poor side looks very good though, looks even bigger than last year but still with footwork, hope it translates to ABs. -

Lighten up.
I support the crusaders and enjoy rubbing it in when our closest rivals lose.
I also enjoy the banter when the crusaders lose and the reverse happens.
Lately it seems like every thread on here goes the same way as the politics forums, with posters scrambling to take the moral high ground and lecture everyone about it.

@Donsteppa Unfortunately my main experience of Chiefs fans is here on thesilverfern...
An Australian team over locals. I’d even take a deep breath and support Hawke’s Bay against the West Islanders.
And that’s after seeing a group in Hawke’s Bay jerseys turn up at Baypark to cheer for Southland against the Steamers. And then Southland bloody won. FFS...
Wasn't me Donsteppa - honest!

It's always a bad omen. A Taranaki fan did the same at another Steamers v Southland game at the Domain and we lost that bloody one too. In that case there was a promotion relegation game at stake between the three teams and we landed it...

Lately?
Some of my best friends are Australians... but I lose my sense of humour at them beating any of us. Petty bitterness from Gregan's tackle on Wilson and 1998 to 2003 perhaps...
Losing to a 14 man Highlanders is one thing, but a toweling by the Brumbies is shithouse.
A long season looms again for the Chiefs. Enjoy!

This Canterbury bullshit is boring and we are only into the second week, but.....
I am sure a number of posters have declared their support for any team that is playing the Crusaders, no matter what country they come from.
-
On the plus side, we can bring Marty McKenzie back at first five next week......

It’s a complement for your level of success. Same thing happened to Auckland.
It’s all cyclical. What you have to look forward to is the bottom of cycle where you get that attention when you suck.
-
@Donsteppa Has he not seen DMac play first five before?

I don’t know any HB fans who would ever cheer for those Deep South Yokels. They must have been imposters.

When is the experiment with McKenzie playing First Five going to end, He's a Fullback who can tear teams apart not a crab for a first Five running to the sidelines every time. FFS if he is 2nd choice for the AB's as a First Five we are in trouble come WC.

Can I just put it on record that I am a Cantabrian and it pains me to see the Chiefs lose like this - hope they manage to turn their season around.
I must admit I found it difficult to like Aucklanders once upon a time, but that was only for a few hours in 1985, before the beers kicked in. And Hawkes Bay supporters would not openly admit they were HB supporters so they were obviously fake.

My wonder is this: do we actually see a repeat of the Chiefs of old, where the coaches were left to go on delivering dross, or does Cooper cop the flak?
