I guess the roof problem is it was the a first for rugby, so there were lots of complaints about the advantage it could theoretically give? So WRU said visitor can choose to select criticism. But ffs we've moved on, WRU just need to say, from now on, or roof, we'll put it how we like it.
Exactly.
At present if both sides don't agree, then the away team has the final say.
That’s the same as just asking the away team what they want?
Yep.
The default is open.
So if Ireland said they wanted it closed, and Wales said they wanted it open, what would happen? -

@MiketheSnow simple solution, away team build thier own stadium with a retractable roof then decide themselves.

Exactly.
And what I have been saying for years.

Shouldn't the concept of home advantage put the decision with the home team? Isn't the width of the field (and depth of in goal) up to the home team (as long as they meet minimum standards)? These can be adjusted to the advantage of the home team so why not the roof as well?

Well if we win today then we can go to the 6 Nations table and say we've done as you asked but from here on in we're going to decide.
So get fucked.

Err nope. Both teams decide. Read the Six Nations policy on it.
“*We run the competition by consensus.
"What we are doing is staying with existing protocols, which basically say if both teams agree conditions demand they want to close the roof, or both teams want to close the roof anyway, that's fine.
"But what we can't do is allow any one individual team an inherent or underlying advantage.
"The other unions perceive it to be an advantage for Wales given they could play all their games under the roof given they understand the conditions.
"These games are won on any tight margins anyway. It's a case of everyone wanting a level playing pitch."*

Er no.
If the away team disagree with what Wales would like, then the away team's decision is final.
Is it that hard to work out?
I don't even know why we bother saying what we want.
Just ask the away team and get on with it.

Ha ha. Hence the
Ireland's match to lose, but we'll gladly walk away with the victory if they don't perform.

Ireland to Arrive on Open Top Bus
The Irish team, who aren’t fans of roofs, said that they wanted to embrace the great Welsh weather.
A spokesman for Team Ireland said:
“We don’t like roofs now, no we don’t. We were going to come on a normal bus der, but we tort that we’d be better orf coming in on a bus wit no roof. Roofs are far tew over-rated these days so we tort we’d like to see what da Welsh wedder’s got in store for us and embrace it so. We are looking forward to beating Wales at ta game today.”
A Welsh bus company has confirmed that Team Ireland have hired an open top bus for the day.
“We’ve only got one open top bus and that’s because Terry drove it under a low bridge a few weeks ago and ripped the roof off of it.”

Yeah I did get that! But like I said earlier could be a tight game. Hoping not. Sorry!

Why on earth wouldn't Italy scrum that penalty? 8 v 7 on their line when you've been destroying their scrum. 6 points down...
Because they are fucking idiots.
Great stop by France.

Great tackle but what a shit-eating moron diving for the line thinking you're the man with the ball in the wrong arm. Dick. Lesson learnt for the young fella hopefully. It wasn't even a game winning try!
