6 Nations 2019

Well done England.
Comprehensive.
Eddie justified in his faith and reliance on Tuilagi and Vunipola Squared.
Some really crisp passing from England created huge gaps and space.
Very good tries.
How did Itoje escape the sin bin for his challenge in the air?

World player of the year showing absolutely nothing so far.
He's soooo 2018

@MN5 Scotland were 33-3 then when to sleep. Finn Russell and Stuart Hogg were excellent for Scotland, but the Scottish pack and bench don't look as strong as last year's versions.
I think the Grays are both injured which doesn't help matters. The Scots have had some decent second rowers over the years though.
Anyway, wooden spoon avoided, onwards and upwards.

Scotland 33-3 up with 10 mins to go, then conceded 3 tries.
Other teams will be licking their lips.
Hogg looked magnificent.

I think every single sentence here sums up Scotland in the last few years.
How does Ryan Wilson keep getting selected?

He shares a magic formula with SBW?

Just saw Slade's try. He was in front of the kicker, no question. I'd be pissed if that try was awarded against the ABs.

Really? Seemed tight but marginal to me - the foot the ball was kicked from was just in front of Slade's hindmost foot. Plenty of overlap though - I'd probably be annoyed if it was rubbed out if it was my team that scored it

I tend to agree - not clear and obvious offside based on the camera angles. As @Crazy-Horse says it can't be that difficult to put some lines on the pitch. Soccer does it with offsides.
-
That first England try sure was impressive, you couldn't ask for a better start. Ireland just couldn't get any front foot ball and England minimised their own errors.
I recall thinking I never saw a clear grounding by Healy when he went over. From the angles I saw there is an English hand under the ball the entire time. Maybe I missed something.
It also put a smile on my face when Vunipola was named MOM, not many props get that award.
So where does this result put Ireland on their quest for the N1 standing?

It appears the pass preceding the kick was clearly forward and not looked at which is upsetting the Irish more I think.
-
I don't know the wording of the laws but Slade was never behind the kicker. That's the truth of it, whatever the verdict wording
Itoje not being carded for accidentally over running the ball by 5 yards and then accidentally taking out the only catcher further illuminated the fact that rugby will forever be plagued by officiating inconsistencies.
Fuck wasn't the poms linespeed and defence something else?!
It'll need a few dinky little kicks to counter that... -

So many people don't seem to know or understand forward pass laws that I struggle to get too upset. It's the filthy inconsistency in application from one week to the next that gets me. Wayne Barnes I'm looking at yo ufella

England looked very good, creating pressure and taking chances. Good defence on which they built a winning platform. Slade good in the midfield, Sinckler looks lazy. First half slow to his feet, waddling to breakdowns to observe. Good for jumping into tackles and a bit of niggle.
Ireland looked one dimensional and bereft of ideas without the ability to go forward. 2018 POTY looked very average without front foot ball and increasingly went back into the pocket to get time and space. Where were Ireland's back row?
Garces a donkey ref, so nothing new there but what happened to the increased attention to high tackles and neck rolls?

I thought exactly the same thing when I saw it.

Havent seen the game yet ,
But makes things interesting ,
On our tour the ireland game became the big talking point , the england game got swept under the carpet a bit , but they were pretty good considering their injuries

Although, we'd be annoyed to have as many tries against us aside from that one.
Has the Ireland bubble burst?

@nzzp yeah camera angles make it pretty hard to be definate. Wonder if something is in the pipeline to help the TMO out, like superimposed lines or something.
Hang on, you just said "no question"! Now it's hard to be definite? It was the right call by the tmo, 100 percent.
