@Canes4life ah it looks about 240p on the iPad so really hard to see, I was trying to find somewhere to watch it properly
-
A really interesting video on how many foreign born players are in each squad at RWC.
here is a screengrab showing the total number of players born in a country that are representing another country at RWC. Shows just how many players the NZ conveyor belt produces.
-
@Canes4life there'll be another video " exposing " moody blocking ptsd in 5, 4 3 2 1 .....

Japanese explanation for rugby positions.

Do you swap out an eagle for another giraffe when Jordie is playing?
-
I am offended by the flankers and halfback. Sickening

Yeah. One of the flankers should have been a Puma or Panther.

@MiketheSnow
Jackal surely. Or a wolf for the size. -

The halfback, looks like one of those monkeys with a shiny red bum. Seems fine to me:face_with_stuck-out_tongue_winking_eye:

It's called a baboon mate, the ones that look like they have a prolapsed anus. I'm not sure a baboon is the right animal. HBs are generally quite small, yap a lot and are often a pain in the arse. Chihuahua? Or a Jack Russell terrier

There has been a bit of chat here and on social media about the turnaround time for Fiji affecting their performance against Uruguay. I did the quick figures (I sit to be corrected) based on the 3 intervals:
MIN() turnaround days in pool stage:
4-day (13): Argentina, England, Fiji, France, Georgia, Italy, New Zealand, Russia, Scotland, South Africa, Uruguay, USA, Wales
5-day (4): Canada, Ireland, Namibia, Samoa
6-day (2): Aust, Tonga
7-day (1): JapanMAX() turnaround days in pool stage:
11-day (2): France, New Zealand
10-day (1): Wales
9-day (4): England, Ireland, Russia, Scotland
8-day (8): Aust, Fiji, Georgia, Italy, Japan, Namibia, Tonga, Uruguay
7-day (4): Argentina, Samoa, South Africa, USA
6-day (1): CanadaAVG() turnaround days in pool stage (rounded):
8-day (1): Japan
7-day (9): France, New Zealand, Scotland, Tonga, Australia, England, Ireland, Italy, Wales
6-day (10): Namibia, Russia, Argentina, Fiji, Georgia, Samoa, Uruguay, Canada, South Africa, USATough pool for Canada and a tough draw to boot.
Could really say the Wallabies have the best draw with minimum 6 day turnaround, maximum 8, and average 7.

Good to see World Rugby following through on their promise not to see the minnows disadvantaged....

Nice work NTA.
I note SA falls into the kak turnaround camp. Both on minimum and average. But I don't really see an issue. (Note: if we lose to Italy it is of course all going to be blamed on the short turnaround )Glad World Rugby have made it a lot fairer than it used to be.

Until we have even number of teams in each pool, this is the way it is.
If we get to 6 teams in 4 pools next RWC, it would help. Means 5 games for each squad minimum, too.
I'd still like to see a Plate competition to run with the Cup as well - top 8 play Cup QF. Next 4 go straight into Plate SF.
