I thought gallen had it in the ninth. Tenth round was a heavy weight trying to do a mayweather and avoid getting hit.

If SBW doesn't get the Jake Paul fight I really hope him and Gallen go at it.

SBW looked considerably better in his last fight than he ever has in my opinion. Had some real sting to his punches we haven’t seen in the past. Maybe the time with Tyson Fury helped with this ? ( Fury looked a harder puncher more recently too )

But yeah, Gallen is a brawler and incredibly tough the way he was eating punches like a young George Chuvalo. Both of them are far beyond the “footy player having a go at boxing” stage.

Will be a fascinating fight if it goes ahead.

So Gallen lost and some media commentators seem surprised that the crowd recognised what's never been in doubt with Gallen, his toughness.

i don't like Gallen, but he's tough as fuck, and can actually fight. I reckon he would fuck SBW up

ive got SBW ,gallen is tough alright , but just think Sonny overall is the better boxer and lands more

And Barry Hall the only guy to fight both picks SBW , says he was surprised with his power and hand speed ,

Stopped first round , went the distance with Gallen and probably got the better of him

Jermell Charlo v Brian Castono 2 unification today .

The first fight was a beauty ,

This fight has special interest for Aus boxing fans as these guys are the two top dogs in Tim Tszyu's division , he is getting close in the conversation to a title fight

Tank v Rolly today , those in aus looking for something to watch , on free to air on Foxtel between 10am -2 pm .

Is an interesting match up .

Both fighters have knockout power but tank is the firm favourite , seen as the more complete package, won’t go the distance.

@kiwiinmelb Tank beats him easy. Romero already got exposed by Jackson Marinez a few fights back where he got one of the biggest gifts I've ever seen.

@kiwiinmelb Tank set up Rolly beautifully landjnvvthat left, slipping on the outside of the jab to change the angle before crunching him with a left that not many saw coming.

@kiwiinmelb Yeah Romero was winning rounds, but it was only a matter of time before he walked onto one.

Oh awesome enjoy! Was keen to go over for it myself but my football team Aston Villa are touring Aussie so I decided to go and watch them instead otherwise I would have gone to that too. 3 Kiwis on the card too so get behind the boys!

Would be nice if Tank targeted the winner of this fight funnily enough.

Bit of politics but for Devon to get the fight he had to sign a 3 fight deal with top rank , if he wins the first one he has to do the rematch , I reckon bob will be lining him up with loma with all the belts on the line if he wins twice , keeping it in-house .

If George wins he can do as he pleases , I wouldnt be surprised if he fights Ryan Garcia , I think it will be the easier option for now that will still pay well. .

Yeah i see Faa , Hemi and David nyika are fighting on the undercard , should be awesome

@kiwiinmelb Yes Haney did sign with Bob for this fight specifically and yes, he will try and put Loma in with Haney should Haney stay at 135. He has stated that he is looking at going to 140 very soon as he struggles to make weight.

Kambosos and Garcia will struggle to be made as their promoters DiBella and De La Hoya hate each other, similar to Bob and Al Haymon.

It would be nice if all of the 135 division was signed to the one promoter similar to the boys at 147. We'd see a lot more fights made thats for sure.

AJ has allegedly teamed up with Robert Garcia as his coach to prepare him for Usyk , interesting choice

@kiwiinmelb Can't see it making any difference. AJ doesn't take well to getting hit, has a poor gas tank, and has never ever been a pressure fighter and never will be. He's a counter puncher with a decent uppercut but Usyk's style is all wrong for him.

Yeah everyone is saying he needs to get more aggressive, but that just exposes him to getting more gassed and getting hit more often. Catch 22

I think McCracken was aware of his weaknesses and trying his best to hide them .

But will be interesting to see what Garcia comes up with , He always comes across as a good fella . ##spoiler

@kiwiinmelb Yes its much easier said than done, similar to Fury v Klitschko when people said that Klitschko needed to just let his hands go - more like he couldn't as Fury was just waiting for him to throw and fall short so Fury could counter as his control of the distance that night was some of the best you'll ever see.

Yes, Ushk has had his troubles with pressure fighters that are smaller like Chisora and Briedis, but its their specific style of fighting (Briedis to be fair has a bit more to his game), AJ can't fight like that and won't be able to change that overnight.

Haney far too good for Kambosos Jr.

Just 23 Haney looks to have bright future - moves well, good reach and accurate.
