@kiwiinmelb Oh don't get me wrong, the guy is quality, the left hook to the body and when he fakes it to go up top is a thing of beauty, but not gonna lie he does have the cards stacked in his favour all the time haha.

When you are the a side you are the a side , Floyd was the same . One thing he does better than Floyd is he stays so active

I love watching him fight , but even as a fan I wasn’t happy with the ggg 1 debacle , luckily we haven’t had any controversy like that for a while

Well boxed bivol , so glad we didn’t get a dodgy result

Canelo , well I think has reached his limit , 175 is too much , bit off more than he can chew

@kiwiinmelb Yeah cards a lot closer than they should have been ( had it 118-110), but glad the right man won, and yes, Canelo is waaaay too small for 175.

He has developed into a very very good walk ‘‘em down pressure fighter ,

But there will be a limit to who that is going to work on , I think he found his limit today .he is too small for that style of fighter at 175

I would be sticking to 168 if I was his team , it’s difficult right now to see what might be gained from a rematch.

bivol was great , better than I expected , be interesting to see how the unification in that division goes now .

@kiwiinmelb Yeah but to be fair to Canelo, he conquered a very weak 168 division despite avoiding David Benavidez, so 175 was his only option really, unless he went back down to fight GGG again.

For Bivol, it sets things up nicely for him to fight the winner of Joe Smith v Arthur Beterbiev to unify all belts at 175. Beterbiev i would expect to knock Smith out (the guy is a beast) which hopefully sets Bivol to face Beterbiev some time next year.

Yeah it wasn’t the strongest but I guess beating them all in a 11 month window after coming up from 160 was still an achievement.

I think ggg , benevediz, charlo , booboo, will still be fights worth watching . Those guys with plant should all be fighting each other as well instead of waiting for a canelo payday which is another story .

So Gallen lost and some media commentators seem surprised that the crowd recognised what's never been in doubt with Gallen, his toughness.

i don't like Gallen, but he's tough as fuck, and can actually fight. I reckon he would fuck SBW up

I thought gallen had it in the ninth. Tenth round was a heavy weight trying to do a mayweather and avoid getting hit.

If SBW doesn't get the Jake Paul fight I really hope him and Gallen go at it.

SBW looked considerably better in his last fight than he ever has in my opinion. Had some real sting to his punches we haven’t seen in the past. Maybe the time with Tyson Fury helped with this ? ( Fury looked a harder puncher more recently too )

But yeah, Gallen is a brawler and incredibly tough the way he was eating punches like a young George Chuvalo. Both of them are far beyond the “footy player having a go at boxing” stage.

Will be a fascinating fight if it goes ahead.

ive got SBW ,gallen is tough alright , but just think Sonny overall is the better boxer and lands more

And Barry Hall the only guy to fight both picks SBW , says he was surprised with his power and hand speed ,

Stopped first round , went the distance with Gallen and probably got the better of him

Jermell Charlo v Brian Castono 2 unification today .

The first fight was a beauty ,

This fight has special interest for Aus boxing fans as these guys are the two top dogs in Tim Tszyu's division , he is getting close in the conversation to a title fight

Tank v Rolly today , those in aus looking for something to watch , on free to air on Foxtel between 10am -2 pm .

Is an interesting match up .

Both fighters have knockout power but tank is the firm favourite , seen as the more complete package, won’t go the distance.

@kiwiinmelb Tank beats him easy. Romero already got exposed by Jackson Marinez a few fights back where he got one of the biggest gifts I've ever seen.
