There are levels and this retired footballer turned boxer level that exists down under , I think SBW may turn out to be the king of that level . I think with his athletic traits and the good training he has access to now will see him beat Gallen .
But in rugby terms it’s like comparing local club footballers to international. And I don’t think Andy Lee was saying he would win a world title, just talking up his athletic talent and how it’s comparable to the top dogs .

@mn5 I think she probably did impress in the UK in Fury's camp. In sparring under less pressured situations I reckon, given his background for training the house down and working on the nuances of whatever sport he's playing this week, that he was probably more technical. Looked a million bucks.
Last night though he looked sloppy and over excited. Just needs to calm the fuck down and let his reach and athleticism do the rest. I mean fucking look at him. He's always been a specimen. He looks like a boxer. Just needs to sit back a bit. The close exchanges he missed so many punches and one of the "shots" he gave Hall was a forearm to the side of the head.
Is SBW transitioning as well ? The world really has gone mad

@kiwimurph I think that was a weakness of sonny's for a very athletic man. Looks to have sorted it. He used to look too timid like he wasn't all in on the punch. Really was hunting that cross with intent.
Gallon is a pressure fighter so he doesn't need to hit as hard. He's nowhere near the size of sbw so it's pretty obvious.
Quite a bit shorter but they’d be a similar weight. Definitely more Joe Frazier than George Foreman though.
Agree though, SBW looked considerably meaner than in the past. . It’s also worth mentioning that just cos a guy has big muscles doesn’t automatically mean he’s gonna hit hard. Some guys just have much more of a natural aptitude for it.
I did notice his technique is much better than it used to be. SBW used to be very lazy on his feet in the ring which lead to poor punching technique. It looked like he was just throwing his arms.

Anyone excited about the real boxing this weekend ?
What a fluffybunny of a time for NZ folk though……especially those of us who have a 40th the night before.
@raznomore as the only one on here who really knows what he’s talking about hows it gonna go ? I’m hearing all sorts of stuff about Fury being underweight and not up for it ?

Fury wins in whatever fashion he wants. Whyte has no chin, clumsy footwork, a left hook that is over rated by many and not enough of an inside game to trouble Fury. He's basically a glorified British/Euro level fighter, similar to Dereck Chisora.
Current Fury under Sugar Hill will most likely stand and trade in the pocket and look for an early KO. His size will also give Whyte fits.

@MiketheSnow the end of the press conference was brilliant. Serious face off then Fury starts tickling White like a child.

Hmmmmm, I’ve gotta be honest. Tyson would be extremely high on the list of people I’d try not to piss off.
Also who can blame him, this guys face is amazingly punchable
-
i watched the longer version of that this morning
this guy got EXACTLY what he deserved. He was pissed, carried on like a fuckhead, was leaning over the top of Tyson carrying on over and over. Fucked around. Found out.
If there is a top 5 list of people i don't want to antagonise in to punching me in the head, Mike Tyson is like 3 of those guys

He’s lucky that it’s pretty hard to get any momentum into a punch when you’re kneeling on a seat.
Unfortunately it’s probably given this moron a bit of notoriety and a pub yarn to spin for the rest of his days.

It's the States. It'll get him a lot more than that. Millions more probably
and then, if i am Tyson, i am going after the airline. The video goes for a while, and at no point is there cabin crew coming to Tyson's aid. They have failed in their duty of care
Of a bigger concern to Tyson is, given the changes in laws around unruly behaviour on flights (anti mask piston wristed gibbons) if you are convicted of such behaviour, you're on the "no fly" list forever.

among a myriad of other reasons yes

If he does sue Tyson, pretty sure Tyson can take it to a jury in the civil trial. They would be sympathetic to him
Most likely a small token payout to the guy and no court action
Dunno, he is a convicted rapist after all and people have long memories.
The fact that he appears to be a completely different person nowadays won’t matter to some people.
