23 Owen Watkin (7 Caps) -
Not unhappy with that 23
Would rather have had Ellis Jenkins starting instead of Lydiate with Wainwright on the bench, and Patchell on the bench instead of Biggar.
Strong bench for us though.
If we continue to play as we have done this Autumn and put the grunt & guile together then we could see four wins out of four for the first time.
Wales by 5-9

I'm not a fan - he's not the best 10 in his club let alone the country - but he hasn't done much wrong to be fair.
Gatland loves him at 10 and he certainly plays differently from both Biggar and Patchell.
Good to see Gatland is giving him a fair crack of the whip prior to the 6N and to be honest if he marshalls Wales to a win on Saturday then he's definitely in the box seat.
My preferred combo would be Jarrod Evans and Rhys Patchell.
Nice problem for Gatland and Howley to have.

TBF, most of the criticism Anscombe got in NZ was due to him playing more like a NH type 10 so he has found the right place to be.
His skills were always ok, he just stood too deep and didn't take on the line enough for us.
And it gives us a reason for banter with the Wales fans. The great producer of flyhalves reduced to importing players that couldn't cut it with the big boys.... -

Boooooooooooom
Deserved third in the world.
4 out of 4 in the Autumn.

Two wins against tier 1 SH teams in a row.
Merry Christmas.

SANZAR teams have really struggled this November against British teams. Balance of power is shifting north.
Yep. They took their knocks at the last world cup and went away to get better.
Now it's on SANZAAR. Go away, get better, or lose

The only game I watched live this morning. A well-deserved win although the Welsh scrum was under pressure when the reserve props came on.
I thought Marx was fortunate with some of his ruck penalties as often he isn't supporting his own weight and not actually going for the ball.
@MiketheSnow What is the latest with Jenkins' injury?

Cheers. It's been a great 2018 for Wales.
10 wins, 2 losses as posted on another thread.
Genuine depth and competition for places developed in the past 12-24 months.
Gatland has evolved.
Shaun Edwards is called Sir in Wales.

@mikethesnow But not good enough to be nominated for the team of the year awards, yet the team you beat is with their 50% record

We didn't beat NZ and run them close in the same century, let alone the same season
