England vs All Blacks

- The All Blacks and England have played each other 40 times in their much-storied history, with 32 wins to the All Blacks, seven to England and one draw. The most recent Test was in November 2014 at Twickenham, which the All Blacks narrowly won 24-21.
Press Officer been reading the Fern?

Crotty on the bench is a waste of a spot
Whilst I agree, if that's our only issue we're in pretty good shape.
(Would have picked ALB meself)

OK so what's the origins of the storied thing? I missed it.
Keep up bones...
Actually can't remember the thread unfortunately. Must be my memory going with age.
Discuss.
Thanks. Very valuable input.

@booboo NZ POlitics one IIRC....
Oh no wonder. Just going off the title that sounds like the most boring thread ever.

I suggest going to the "Alternative from Stuff" thread and trying to find some sort of seafood that hasn't been mentioned in the last few hundred posts.

Excellent lineup. Although I would’ve gone with Crotty and Goodhue starting, Mo’unga at 10, Bridge on the wing, Todd at 7....
The main thing for me is whether the ABs will play at that break neck pace in the first half that we’ve seen so far this year. I hope we do and hoping Aaron Smith and Barrett play a little flatter.

I guess Angus is yet another who plays both sides?
According to Hansen, yes. He was selected over Perry for that reason.
Anyone ever seen him play there?

Poms will doing everything they can to slow it down. One trick BL used was to get someone to rush up to disrupt/discourage quick lineouts. Also mud in eye, etc. at lineout and scrum time a la Wobblies circa 2000.

Worked in Sth Wales for 2 years. The likes of Jason Leonard, Will Carling & Robshaw etc, were regarded as top blokes while the likes of Mike Brown or Matt Dawson were seen as twats.
Personally, I think the Welsh just have a finely developed sense of which players are pricks to lose to...
Oh, and Jonathan "space out wide, space out wide" Davies was regarded as a complete tosser for some reason
Yep.
Last 3 of 5 speakers at my local club's annual dinner have been English - Jon Bentley, Andy Rippley, Shaun Edwards.
All have delivered heartfelt and honest talks, taken some tough Q&As, and stuck around and stayed over to drink the night away and talk bollocks with the boys.
Leg Ends.
The dislike of Jonathan Davies by some may be down to his family circumstances rather than his playing career. Won't elaborate but he might not be whiter than white if you get my drift.
Last 5 years, are you sure it was Andy Ripley, Mike? If it was I hope the medium got a bloody good fee. The great man died in 2010
Shit you're right. Oldtimers kicked in there.
Meant to say David Duckham.
Oops.

I agree that they will try to slow it down, but the Wallabies and Boks tried to do that as well. Even it that loss to the Boks we were able to play at a fast pace in the 1st 40

Ofa is not a Loosehead, should have selected Perry.
Funny how Ta'avao and Ofa have both swapped sides.
I think I might trust Cron on this call.

@mikethesnow I met Mr Duckham when I was a kid - he even passed the ball to me and I got his autograph - definetly a top bloke
