That's still in the rumour stage. Nothing confirmed by Clermont, yet.
Kind of shows his commitment to the All Blacks and vice versa.
Definitely in the vice-versa camp.
It annoys me when the ABs don’t do their homework before selecting. players like PGS and Kirifi to name a couple have been stiffed.
Would like to see him play for Fiji but he’ll have to wait nowWas PGS really stiffed anymore than any other AB who has been selected for a few games, hasn't met the standards and then been discarded?
If he was Peter Gus Smith we probably wouldn't even be having this discussion. We'd just be talking about how he was tried and failed. TTT was tried and discarded after 3 matches but we don't consider him stiffed do we?

Wasn’t TTT in camp for about a million times though?
I agree with your point though, PGS was fallout from the changing of a shit coach to a good one, who only selects from the Saders.

My point wasnt just PGS but anyone that doesn't exactly 'fail' but gets selected then discarded.
I just think that if you select someone you need to give them a fair shot. If you are quickly saying that you got it wrong then you probably misjudged in the first place.
Like I dont get why they would select Perofeta then never give him a shot -

Happy for Gus that hes picked up an overseas contract , but i have got to say Gus in terms of having to stand for 3 years to play for Fiji has got nobody else to blame but himself , his agent and whomever else was advising him ..i called this when he was selected that he was just hail mary selection when Foster was panicking ..
The real shame is depite upping his value as a one time All Black , he could have easily picked up a lucrative contract by playing for his country of birth and i reckon he could have been a standout for Fiji at next years RWC ..
I really do hope players of Pacific Island orgin have a good think about where they sit in any potential pecking order before jumping in feet first to play for the All Blacks and then being stuck in this very situation .
Temo Mayanavanua is classic example of a player who picked a very good contract in France after just playing 2 seasons of NPC with the Northland Taniwha . -

Not exactly a headline name and even the stats don't help much. A total of thirteen appearances in provincial fixtures over five seasons and eleven of those were off the bench. Can the BoP Mafia help us out?
Nic was part of the Canterbury system for a while,Studied and played for Lincoln Uni around 2016 to 18 he was Drafted in as cover at Hooker in 2018 for the Canterbury NPC squad.Had a few games for the Canterbury B side during his time in Canterbury.
