@canes4life I was impressed he stayed as long as he did.
-
Shame, had always hoped for big things when he burst onto the scene.
But just seemed to slowly get worse, then became a liability with giving away penalties. His debut against Argentina was fantastic, some real wrecking ball stuff with great pace too. What happened to that player ?

@canes4life I think having to change his game and move away from his natural game didn’t help, having to play structured didn’t suit him

But just seemed to slowly get worse, then became a liability with giving away penalties. The coaching staff should shoulder the blame for that. Trying to get him to play a tight game when he was dynamic running the outside channels. He was not even considered good enough to make the bench for the Hurricanes in the end which is saying something when the flagbearer for his position was R. Prinsep.

Wasps are making a habit of signing ex-All Black duds. Is there a quota at that club or something?
I think it's a great move. Learn some quite different styles of play earning his keep in a slog season for a few years. Come back and become the Kaino we'd hoped for a RWC cycle.
You heard it here first.
And nowhere else ever again.

Like you thinking, if he digs in and does the work he does have a hard edge to his play, I could see it eventuating.

This warms my heart. I love me some Fifita and reading this makes me realise his loss of form is actually all part of a master plan.
