@stargazer Ah of course. Thought it a bit tongue in cheek Canes4Life praising a HB player like that. Having said that he does acknowledge we do have some good players and even hints that some of them might deserve a bit more game time (IWL for Blackwell for example) than they get.
-
Laumape probably saw the writing on the wall.
I wonder whether Foster gave him the word?
He's stuck around for two years after missing the RWC - missed the possibility of tests last year due to injury and now bailed before any teams were picked this year.
I guess he could see the queue getting longer though - and ALB, Goodhue and Rieko probably having 3/4 spots locked up.
-
@chris-b or maybe his manager was pro-active and went to Fozzie and asked if he was locked in for 12, Fozzie laughed and laughed, and then realising he was serious, said no.
Loss to NZ Rugby, especially his provincial team afte rhe called players out for not playing for the little teams....
Seriously though, it is a loss to NPC/Super rugby.

Fuck I forgot about that, it's even more hilarious now, what an egg. Good riddance two face.
-
@canes4life Yeah - you'd think so. Especially with Goodhue unavailable.
ALB, Rieko, Havili and PUJ?

Nope, any quality (even if not top quality) player fucking off to the Euro/Yen/Pound sucks. Yeah he was a bit of a self important knob, but he was good to watch.

Liecester must be a big chance as a. Centre/Wing
Especially as it will 3 PI nations (minus most/all NH pros) in a row. See some youngsters in the ABs environment if nothing else.

Probably it won’t tell us much may paper over the cracks.
Will have to wait until to RC . -
I'm gutted about this one. I really rate him ball in hand and think he had the opportunity to be our next Nonu, or perhaps a bench option covering wing and midfield. Remember Nonu took some serious time to be our number one.
Still, have to assume the AB brains trust were happy to let him go, and those guys do know better than me oh that's right no they don't it's Foster.

Will have to wait until to RC .I will throw my teddies if Foster gets reappointed for another 2 years after these three 'tests'

I think it's too late to wait for Laumape to be the next Nonu. Nonu turned the corner in 2008 when he was 25. Laumape is 28 and still hasn't shown much growth in the skills department.

Josh Iosefa-Scott qualifies for England. I'll be interested to see how he develops at Exeter.
