Here's a new one for you:
Jordie Barrett, what the fuck has he done this year?
ooooh good
3/8s of fuck all really. Cost us a test.
And as far as i can see from the Fern, has gone from being the ABs nailed on fullback for the next 10 years (except for the loons who think he's a 12) to being overtaken by some bloke called Jordan in 18 months.
I really hope you choke on that dildo some day. I hope you choke on it and the final thing you see is the Barrett brothers starting an AB test together while your little blonde NZ Schweinsteiger watches from the stands.
not bad. Big on bile, and so butt hurt.
Just really loses for points for assuming i am actually a fan of DMac.
(actually i could quite happily be NZ Bastion Schweinsteiger given his money and his missus).
I liked you Hurricanes supporters more when you actually knew your team was a flakey joke.
Very weak effort. Have to work harder.
You would go even gayer for DMac. Just admit it. Him and the one-balled hobbit.
Unlike you I don't engage in petty and pathetic provincial racism.
only one of us has openly declared they would turn for a player. keep that in mind at all times.
I'm not provincially (actually franchisely) racist, i am the most open-minded here, because i barely even like the Chiefs.
Wrong. I don't support any NZ Super Rugby franchise. So climb down from your dung hill of moral superiority and genuflect in awe.
good point! you are objective as hell! The only problem is, years of under-achievement has made you far too bitter. You've gone too far. You're vinegar.
Also your blazer/scarf combination offends me

I didn't get to choose it, it's part of the uniform. I prefer my black RMs.

I had to get up at 5am this morning, and I am not in the mood.
and with one comment, the Fern turned in to my marriage...
So, yesterday was selection whinge day. Lets actually look forward to the tour.
Anyone genuinely expect us to drop a game? The England game was being hyped for a couple of years, but that all dropped away, and now it appears Ireland are the big threat.
Will we turn in our almost customary dead-rubber fuck around v the Wobblies to kick everything off?
Selection-wise, will it be A Team; C Team, A Team, A Team, B Team?
And lets pick one player whose stocks will rise, and one whose will fall in the next month.

Not unless by sheer accident Eddie unearths what should have been his dynamic backrow all along. And Ireland are worse without their world class halfback. Combative, close games but still entries in the win column.

Most concerned about Ireland. If we bring our cute game plan they could feed off our mistakes like in 2013
I just wonder how we will deal with their style of play. It's different to the teams we usually play. My gut is we will score enough points, but if they frustrate us by making tackles, and holding the ball for ages, will our 9 and 10 keep making good decisions?

Evidence of this year says we will push the pass after going wide too early. Interception....

I think we will name as strong a side as we can for Aus, then 2 weeks until England that will again be full strength, and is the Irish test the following week so 3 big games in 4 weeks.
Based on our form, potentially we could drop a game or 2, but as we always do,m we will also likely find a way out of the hole to not drop any.
I'd say they will be massively up for the Irish test, will be a huge marker to lay down for the next 12 months, so I expect they will have been aiming at this game for a while now (as the English one has lost a bit of its shine in the past 6 months)
-
I can see them losing to Aussie. Relatively poor on neutral site games against tier 1 nations, any time they try something like this "World Cup simulation" we come out flat, Poite is appointed, Bledisloe dead rubber.
We do have Barnes for the Irish test. Cards are a concern. If he had the reigns of the 2016 fixture things could have gotten out of hand.
Historically this side is more likely to be beaten seemingly out of the blue rather than in a hugely hyped clash - the Auckland "deal" aside.
-
@rotated I'm always concerned when he's involved. He appears to be happy when the All Blacks are penalised. That and he still can't work out when a pass goes forward.
It's one thing to say play well enough to take the ref out of the equation, but this isn't a fixture against Italy.
I'd also say the competition in the larger squad should see an edge to the Aussie game.

Excluding the extra 19 players and focusing on the 32-man squad:
Stocks will rise:
Patrick Tuipulotu.
He's shown signs of getting back to his best during TRC, and if he can get his ball security right I can see him coming on and wrecking some havoc in the final 20. He's an absolute beast of a man.Stocks will fall:
Aaron Smith.
Hurts to say it, but he's been on the decline recently, despite his bullet pass. I think TJP has all but surpassed him now.If I can expand that to more players:
Rise: Ardie, Goodhue, Papalii, Karl T, Ofa T
Fall: Crotty, SBW, Naholo -
@no-quarter said in AB EOYT 2018:

yea, not so sure about that. TJP still has that erratic as fuck pass. And the last thing our chosen 10 needs is even less time to make decisions (actually check that, maybe making him play off instinct only is the key). And A Smith is still our best organiser. And is still the more accurate kicker.
TJP is better if we are getting bossed at the rucks though, he's bigger, and has a good running game.
I like their one-two punch combo at the moment, especially now that TJP is way less excitable.
-
@mariner4life fair call. I think A Smith struggled against SA (well the whole team did, but he wasn't helping). TJP probably more suited against them and I think potentially Ireland as well given I can see our pack taking a bit of a beating in that match. I don't think A Smith has really recaptured his pre-toilet form, at least not consistently.
TJP on the other hand has definitely been on an upward curve.
