Does it work like that? I thought it just works on time on the field, so all that time would count against it and he'd come back on earlier than he would have in the 2nd half?

Agree, but perhaps he is worth persevering with in this position. He did really well off the back of that scrum to get us on the front foot. He's also pretty good in the lineout, at the breakdown and has all the skills needed by a modern No. 8.

I wonder if he might be the best option to replace Read post 2019.
