All Blacks v Springboks

Similar to the Ireland test. Some really poor play by us capitalised on by them, and despite us finishing the stronger team we just couldn't run them down.
The blueprint for beating us is make sure BBBR is not playing, take all your bloody chances, and then defend like your mother's life depends on it.
Superb from SA.

Outstanding watch. Shame about the result but the boks deserved that. Very excited about the return match now.
Yeah that should be a cracker .

Boks deserved winners. Sensational.
Mounga would have slotted the droppie. But no...you must have DMac's 'impact' on the bench.
Even better - he could have kicked the goals from the start so that it wouldn't have been that close...
BBarrett can score his four tries from fullback...

Next game's line-up is going to be interesting. If the RWC had been in the bag, they would probably have started a lot of newbies again, but now the situation is completely different.
It'd be a bit weird if we'd already won the RWC a year out
-
Meh.... they will learn a lesson there. We were way below par. I am not remotely concerned.
Not actually that impressed with SA. -

Come on mate, we needed a DG because BB had a total and utter mare from the tee. Nothing to do with DMac.

@tim I think teams are taking inspiration from your threads hahahaha.
Well done Boks, great stuff! Better to learn from your mistakes now ABs instead of next years world cup. These nights are going to happen every now and again.

@billy-tell BMac was off the field.

Useless piston wristed gibbons, can’t believe we didn’t set for a drop goal.
Worlds best first five showed his limitations tonight
Yep. His goalkicking has always been sub-standard and it was up in neons tonight.

I was going to point that out.

@african-monkey I am available for freelance consulting. Minimum contract duration: two weeks.

Well congrats to the Boks. This game hopefully will result in us tightening up our game and earning it in the forwards. From super rugby I could not understand why the Boks could never put together a pack to knock us around a little. I think the forwards subs were more dynamic for us but for a few mistakes but the first team dug a hole for us in the first 50 minutes. We needed a loss to refocus.
And BB . . .
-
Not just BB's goal kicking to blame. Lack of precision and communication in midfield and fullback and some poor execution of the basics.
DMac and Goodhue made a big impact - Goodhue has to start the next game. Thought Taylor was exceptional as was Read. Ioane looked rusty at the start but that was a great try.
If there was any over-confidence had crept in, it's been well and truly sorted...

Not actually that impressed with SA.Agreed, they didn’t so much win it, we lost it.
Sure they took their chances and defended well but we gifted them 14 points and left another 8 out there through rediculously poor goal kicking.Apart from the fact we bloody lost, I’m not too worried, we won’t be that poor again.
