Yes, not exactly. I was playing for the Toulouse Pharmacy University and he came to strengthen our team with a few mates from the Pierre Fabre pharmaceuticals firm (the main sponsor of Castres Olympique, the last winner of the Top 14). Playing by his side was certainly a less moving experience than for the guy who had to pack against him in the scrums.

Not me , but years ago a mate got to play the Allblacks, and marked John Kirwan

Allblacks v Victoria , the score was a hundred and something to very little , and kirwan made him look stupid .

He was so excited beforehand then it turned into a nightmare

Massive diff between who you played and “a mate” played.

I know , I have played league against nrl players tho 😀

I played Sunday football against Lowen a few times and often ended up marking him. Surprisingly quick for his size.

Terry Wright. Specialised in running towards touchline, then along touchline, then under posts. I seem to recall he did it five times.

I made the mistake of going to play touch, that turned into league, with a bunch of Hautapu guys as my mate played for them. I tried to tackle Lowen. I feel I know how Mike Catt felt when he tried to tackle Jonah.
