@kiwimurph possibly Naholo to 11, BFA to 14 and JB to 15.

Watching a replay , at the time I was frustrated during that first half ,
But watching again , our defence was sound , the handling errors were a result of us trying to up the tempo against an aggressive defence,
With the benefit of hindsight it paid off in the end
It must have been disheartening for the Orcs. They played an excellent first half and still we ran over them at the end of the 80 minutes. The contest was basically over by the 65th minute
If that was tough , the thought of going to eden park without Folau will have them struggling for positives

Look at Chieka, by the 60th minute even he couldn't muster any rage. He looked like a guy who knew his team simply weren't good enough

And Rieko already rule out. Wonder whether they'll call up someone as injury cover, and if so, who. Or will they just go with Naholo on the left wing and Nehe on the the right?
Or just play Nehe on the left wing.
He played left wing yesterday for the Turbos.
If the game plan is for a plodding wing who can’t sprint to try line before being run down by the opposition prop then he’s the man

Everyone's favourite fuckstick, Gordon Bray, managed to wind the commentary clock back in time. Probably encouraged by Fraser Anning's speech earlier in the week.
Veteran sports broadcaster Gordon Bray has come under fire for describing an Australian player as having a 'golliwog haircut' during the Bledisloe Cup Test in Sydney on Saturday.
Bray was calling the Test live as part of the Ten commentary team at ANZ Stadium when he used the term to describe the hairstyle sported by newly returned Wallabies hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau.
When contacted by Fairfax Media after the match, Bray said it was a poor choice of words.
"It was made in an affectionate manner and it was not intended to be offensive in any way," he said.
"It was something I said on the spur of the moment. I almost didn't recognise him with the short back and sides do and the inference was that it had been very fuzzy. Probably if I'd said what happened to his 'fuzzy-wuzzy' haircut that would have been more appropriate.
"I know the guy, I have great respect for him. When he played at Suncorp Stadium [last year] he had that massive hair and so I was saying it was hard to recognise him with the new haircut."
Probably should've just said that then.

A bit harsh but he's had his day in black. Wheel in the giraffe

assume this has been posted before, but cant hurt to post again
Anyone else think when Barrett went to 6, oohh, Fifita is gonna be pissed!
-
@taniwharugby Why? Barrett is way better at lock and does seem to do at 6 what the AB coaches want Fifita to work on.

Does that mean Beale moves to fullback ? Which makes them weaker in 2 positions

There is a big drop in physicality when Sam Cane is off. The hit he made early on a big ball carrier really adds something in big Test matches. Ardie is a different player and a good finisher but for me lacks that impact early on. Probably Todd is the next best starter but we want someone else to come through at 7 that can replicate that physicality at contact.

"I think the Aussies have to stick with Pocock/Hooper. It gives them something different."
... the opportunity to perfect their synchronised chirping at the referee every second time he picks on them - first Hoopla! who has his whinge and almost invariably just gives the ref a vacant stare after hearing his rebuff; followed by Bono, who may well believe he ought to be Captain, whining about the opposition.
Last night I overheard him say "I disagree with that!" to Peyper and something else, Jaco (appearing astonished and puzzled) said "But he's retired" (my lip reading), and Bono retorted "That doesn't mean McCaw didn't cheat right in front of you and you let him get away with it! What makes him so special?"
It happened quickly, near the edge of the screen - you may have missed it.

Because the coaches aren’t being fully honest with him. That’s two locks in the squad now that they have or intend to play at six.
From the outside looking in I think they have measured him, found him wanting, and have shown him the door with a platitude.
-
@mick-gold-coast-qld was interesting a couple of times Hoopah kinda pushed Pocock back cos he was doing alot of talking to the Ref.
@Stargazer Hansen told Fifita he needs to play more at 6 to be a 6, so they play a lock at 6, not that hard to get my tongue in cheek comment?
-
@taniwharugby You never know on the Fern whether something is tongue in cheek or not.
-
@stargazer well the comment was, but TBH I think if I was Fifita, I'd be a bit frustrated at how that panned out.

They should put Banks at fullback. That kid needs to be in their starting XV.

Mrs Crazy Horse doesn't get 'Tongue in Cheek'/sarcasm - I often find myself in trouble because I can be a sarcastic bastard sometimes.
-
@taniwharugby If we can believe the media (you can never be sure), Hansen had another talk with Fifita after he had expressed publicly to be confused about the reasons for his non-selection. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when that talk took place!
