33 pt 2nd half was too much fun but BBarrett drove me nuts 1st half with that catch, turn, 2-step trot towards 2nd 5 and telegraphed shovel pass to his outsides. Aus were sweating on it bigtime. Papers over the cracks when he runs amok later. Although as someone said, maybe it was part of a setup so they'd be expecting it and he could straighten his running later once Aus were knackered
spewing Rieko got subbed at 45th min and missed the jailbreak action to come, Naholo the benefactor there
Goodhue with a solid downpayment on a tenureship at centre. Poor Crotty, of course before the anthems have even petered out he runs into his new centre partner's head with his chin. The poor bastard is just fucken doomed.
Bloke's career must be in question.

If you fluffers are happy with barrett I'm happy for you. There was a lot of tongue in cheek stuff in the thread before the game but I'm deadly serious now.
Barrett is still great from broken play. And showed tonight. But against a settled defense he just doesn't have the answers.
In the first half he was awful when the Wallabies were aiming up. In thd 2nd when it opened up he looked better but if you were watching the basics were still poor. Passes hit the deck, he threw that terrible intercept that led to their try, his kicking from hand is short, and his goal kicking is substandard.
He didn't steer us when it was hard, in fact he was the source of a few turnovers
In no way is DMac the answer. So i hope mounga can be.
You be serious and just continue to eat more crow.
Okay champ. Be a fanboi.
Okay champ. You continue to be a hater.

Refute my points. Were you happy with his game tonight?

@Rancid-Schnitzel @mariner4life
Calmly please gents.
We won ...
Insult each other nicely please. Barstool rule.

I would have called him worse in the pub!!
Tonights game also made old stevey jones' article even worse given Foley's game tonight.
Jesus Gregan is delusional about where the Wallabies are.

Too all who are bagging Barrett; all I have to say is world player of the year 2016,17. Put that in your pipe and smoke it
- Does that make him immune from criticism?
- Do you think he was even the best player in the AB's last year let alone the world? (2016 he was best player in the world by a huge margin).

I wouldn't be in the pub. I'd be too busy banging yo mamma.

Actually I agree with some of your concerns about the first half but that Simon Mannix comment triggered me. You take that back.

Too far you reckon?
I'm actually surprised the cantab mafia haven't piled in here en mass

If you fail to see the brilliance of Mannix play then you really can’t be taken serious

Don't be ridiculous. The Wallaby supporter I had to deal with at half time fitted that role.
We're playing to a pattern and our five-eighth did that. Our attack is reasonably predictable in the first half, but it affords us opportunities in the second stanza. The Wallabies were picking it well and committed which makes them play a certain way in defence.
One we were slightly more patient and passes stuck, we eviscerated them.

Didn't Ireland struggle to put this mob away. I think we played well for a side that had played together sense June. Our catch pass needs work.
-
When will they realize that Hooper and Pocock combo are not going to consistently beat the ABs they need a balanced back 3 and never mind what they give up in the lineout.
-
Lots of work ones for most of the team. Our finishing in the red zone was awful and a fair amount of that goes on the shoulders of Smith and Barrett. A couple of times off the scrum it seemed like Read and Smith did not even know each other. Naholo gave us his complete game, some brilliant offense, shocking under high ball and the mandatory brain explosion that had him flirting with a red card. Barrett himself had a pretty mixed bag but I am happy for him to finish the game at 10 with Mackenzie coming on at the back. Rettallick and Goodhue were my picks of the day. Wallabies should be pretty nervous , I reckon ABs have 2 more gears to go go but I would expect Wallaby lineout to improve and a different ref might benefit their scrum.
-
Very disappointed in Goodhue.
Look, I know he was a brick wall on defence, linked well, put his man into space, passed beautifully off either hand, took all the right options.
But soooo slow when he scored his try.

l love this whine on Green and Gold.
Fifth, Jaco. I was complaining about him from the first 5 minutes. He didn't referee the breakdown. He left no gap in the lineout (which saw the ABs lose some throws, too, but we were less well equipped to deal with that than the ABs were). He only refereed one side at the scrum (only one side was responsible for holding the scrum up, so the other side could do whatever they wanted). Genia's dig at him at 72 minutes was perfect - "Then what are you watching?" He didn't lose us the game, but some of his decisions - or non-decisions - directly led to points to the ABs (quite a lot of them), and that scoreboard pressure helped the Wallabies lose their heads in that period between 50 and 65 minutes.
