2018 June Internationals

With the horseshit spouted by the English commentators, Eddie, Hartley and Daly is Alistair Campbell on board with England?
-
Don't want to be the grammar police Eddie, but please replace 'The Barbarians were a very experienced team' with the 'scratch Barbarians team playing their first game together had a lot of experience '
-
Thought Ashton had a decent game, pretty much screaming "pick me, pick me" to Eddie, Brown was pretty anonymous

@hooroo bit harsh, I reckon the Boks are on tier way up.
I thought they got pumped last year? I just haven't seen much of them this year to compare
-
Will be interesting to see how the European based players slot in to the group as a whole, given SA fisheads seem to be desperately trying to squash Kilauea-type proportion of race issues which appear lava-like in their ability to de-rail.
Particularly looking forward to see how Frans Steyn, Vermeulen and Bismarck du Plessis go. -

What annoyed me about the game was the incessant fanboi-isms of the dreary comms team - ohhhh look at Radradra, how he can offload, what a fantastic play, blah farkin blah....
Do they not watch any rugby on telly in England? If they watched any SR, or French Top 14 they would note offloads, carries, tackles, and - yes - defence - of this calibre and quality throughout the comps. Just really fuckin irritating we have to put up with this shit. You would think all Eddie has to do is draft in a load of Fijians - and presto, all England woes are automatically fixed. -

Well now, that's exactly what I mean. You have 17 uncapped players, plus the usual suspects plus the European contingent, have you seen Frans Steyn and Vermeulen lately? Not saying they've put on weight, but "work ethic" isn't what springs to mind when you think of foreign-based players. Will be interesting to see how the cauldon is stirred, and if Rassie can keep a lid on it.

Listening to the commentary team, you'd think England were winning this comfortably.
-
@antipodean I guess they need to make it palable for the home crowd. Just stop the cheerleading and commentate on the game is what I say.
-
I know I bang on about the quality of refereeing, but this game is dreadful. I feel sorry for any nation that has Mathieu Raynal. He makes O'Keefe look like referee of the year.

Flanker Siya Kolisi will become South Africa's first black Test captain in the three-match series against England next month.
-
@kiwimurph Good decision. He's been good for the Sharks and along with du Preez, easy selection for the Boks.
-
@antipodean Kolisi plays for the Stormers. But yes - well deserved - he's been a very good player for a long time. Seems like a top bloke too.

What position does he play?
