Quinn .... no ffs no.
I cringe remembering him commentating the first game of the 2003 rwc with Jeff Wilson . “ and there’s George Gregan , I bet you still think about that tackle don’t you Jeff?” Or something along those lines.
Not a fan of Gregan's tackle?
Yeah nah. Jeff isn’t apparently either having been in the receiving end of it.
You're doing it wrong.
Never heard of docking?

Isn't this what the fern has been asking for? Breaking Sky's stronghold in sports broadcasting? This thread seems a bit complainy considering.
We want more sport, conveniently, and all at a much smaller price. Now get off my lawn

I think if sky were ever a bit more flexible most people wouldn't hate on them.
They are always blaming others for thier woes, losing loyal subscribers and continue offering deals to new subscribers.
They (and us) reap what they sow...they are in a scrap for survival.

... and just not interested in customer service or customer care. I recorded a replay of an NFL playoff game a few years ago, and it cut out as the final (Game winning) drive started. I was absolutely spitting. They didn't care. Remember - this is a replay, not live -- if it's live, they get a pass.
Damn, still pissed about it. Not much they can do, but they were dismissive and hard to deal with.

Foxtel does the same here. But as you can get Foxtel through other suppliers (Telstra) I just argue with the one I currently have, Telstra currently, until they give me their best deal. We always go through the same motions - I say I'm paying too much and I want a cheaper deal, they say they can't give me a cheaper deal, I say I'll cancel, they say they'll get their supervisor, the supervisor offers a cheaper deal but without HD, I say I'll cancel, they give me the same deal as being advertised for new customers with HD. Settled for another year, well usually until I check a bank statement and realise I've been paying full price for a few months.

@nepia going back several years, I used to cancel sky sports after the ITM Cup, without fail, within 2-3 weeks they'd call me up, offer it back to me free until start of Super rugby. which I just left on until end of ITM Cup, basically I think I paid for ~9 months a year and got 50 weeks....
I did this every year, then about 5 or 6 years ago they stopped offering it to me, so I pretty much turn it on for M10 Cup and off at it's conclusion.

I pay $35 a month these days so just keep it going (i.e. too lazy to turn it off) and I didn't watch anything between the final ABs match and Super Rugby starting up again. Probably should have turned if off for two months and had a decent feed out one night.

@nepia I tried that once and only got a few dollars off, and lost some channels in the process!
You should have just cancelled then and signed up with Telstra (or Foxtel depending on who you're currently with).
Damn, I hope your negotiation skills are better in your job.

VPN and Rugbypass. Much better than Foxtel.

I can't stand watching streamed sport, never as crisp as actual TV IMHO.
-
At this point I'd rather go with a slightly lower qual streaming option than pay sky subs. The missus recs a heap of content but I only want sky for sport. Everytime I see the bill it gets on my tits how much they charge, and the new billing breakdown is bollocks
-
But does anyone really want to hear Quinn expire live on air only to cut to a sigma ad!!? Tvnz better have a defibrillator on hand just in case!

according to the guys in the radio, you need to get your grandkids round to sort that shit out before the RWC starts.
Shit. You're going to struggle with this whole rugby on the internet thing if you think there's actually guys in your radio doing the talking.
