Santner just simply isn't good enough, and CdG bats like Southee/McCullum so it doesn't matter cos he scores quick anyway..If he wasn't on debut the he possibly would, although iirc, even with Watling the recent selection groups have been reluctant to put our keeper higher than 7 due to them needing a rest.

Blundell has had more than enough chances to get to hundred. He only has himself to blame if he doesn't make it.

Santner just simply isn't good enough, and CdG bats like Southee/McCullum so it doesn't matter cos he scores quick anyway..Agree, there was easily enough wrong with Santner's technique to suggest he's nowhere near good enough to bat 6. He ended up just playing across a straight one. Which calls his place in the test side into question, he's really only there because he's a spinner but he's not good enough to be regarded as one of our frontline bowlers so it does affect the balance of the side.

Yep. Really hoping we start looking at satners actual contribution rather than potential. Ish might bowl looser but if satner isn't going to get wickets or runs...
