both eating and exercise can take some organising esp when you have work, study, family, etc on the go. I'm eating better than I used too but there is still room for improvement. Exercise has been much easier to work into my schedule. I actually want to go for a run or hit the gym - you get that buzz afterwards and as Davidav pointed out its primo for stress relief etc.... I just don't get the same buzz from turning down a burger and eating some tuna and salad!! I wish I did, adjusting my 'eating plan' would be heaps easier!!

Too right. Easy for film stars, top sportspeople etc to do it in no time. They have trainers and lots of time to work out and eat the right foods at the right time. Tough for us working stiffs !
Raz, congrats on becoming a Grandad.

OK, currently more than 100kg but less than 101 if that makes sense. Dial is closer to the 101 but still a decrease from the last weigh in which is cool. A tough weekend ( long weekend in welly just gone ), TWO BBQs which resulted in more than a few ales but hopefully balanced by lots of trampoline jumping and no bread/taters on the plate. Big weight lifting session planned for tonight.

Some nice aggressive deadlifting last night, back starting to feel a tiny bit sore now, will be bad by tonight I'm sure as I haven't done these for a wee while. My hands feel nice and beaten up as well.

Also did a few calf raises afterwards.

Crikey, under the ton ! well 99.8kg I'm estimating. Dial was still closer to the hundy. At this rate I'll have to move round in the shower just to get wet soon !

Pretty pleased with that and noticing the belt is a tiny bit looser. No major lifestyle changes just lotsa little things....

"Mate would you like a coke?" "Naaaa dude waters fine"

"Coming round for a drink?" "Ok" but generally having Macs Spring tide. It is summer and even welly is more bearable with a cold one....

Instead of rushing around in the morning I'm putting a few minutes aside for some weetbix, four usually do. Haven't missed a brekky all year which is something I often did in the past.

Maccas for brekky yesterday and damn it was good and agreed with me more than Razbra. Naughty boy, I did feel a bit guilty. Mowed the lawns later that day and ripped a few weeds out and such. Spent this morning helping a mate move house so good to lug a bit of heavy shit around ( and helped by being wet and cold as opposed to hot as fark like it was yesterday, Welly was actually warmer than Auckland and Whangarei ! ). Just had a nice big benching/curls session in the garage, pyramided ( is that even a word ? ) up to 120kg on the bench so happy with that but quite a few reps and sets so I know I'm gonna be feeling it in the shoulders and chest tomorrow !

that's a fair whack of tin to be pushing bro, nice!! what sort of reps are you doing at Max weight? I had an unholy urge for a Cheeseburger combo today but owned up to it to the missus, ended up getting Sushi but it was close ha ha

At 120 ? just the one rep if you can even call it that, not pretty, certainly not effortless, the arms get shaky and I go about 16 shades of purple when doing it. Still my shoulders, arse and feet remain in place so I guess it still counts ! As mentioned on your thread I've fucked out on that on more than one occasion too !

yeah I don't know how you'd bench with any confidence without making sure your grip was sorted. Is there any sort of reason why people go for the no thumb approach BM?

I do it so it makes sure the weight is right on then end of my wrist joints - not in my hands then then my wrists having to lock out and take the weight. If I go thumb over in my grip now it hurts my poor widdle hands!

I thumb over for all pressing movements - shoulder presses / bench presses, dumbells and barbells.

But that the end of the day, whatever feels most comfortable. BUt thumb over forces you to get the weight in the right place when pressing.

Latest weigh in.....99.4kg. Not a great deal lost since last weigh in....I have been a tiny bit slack with the food, pregnant wife had a bad day with the boy and was stressed so it was "ah fuck it we'll get KFC". Trying to avoid things like this and that'll be easier when MN5 number 2 is born and she feels better !

Not going to the sevens will help my alcohol intake but will no doubt have a few cold ones with the old man as we're visiting over the weekend. Will try and make them low carb if at all possible.

yeah if you are constantly beating yourself up for slipping up with your eating plan you'll just feel stink bro. I reckon that we're getting fit as part of enhancing our enjoyment of life. For me the odd takeout meal and beers are definitely life enhancing!!

Thanks boys ( sniff ) that makes me feel better ! you're right though the odd day isn't gonna hurt. My main vices are booze and chippies/shapes etc. I'm lucky in that I don't particularly like donuts/cream buns and shit like that so they're never an issue for me.
